I really want to. DH and I both had bad allergies as children, I'm hoping to BF and try to avoid that for my DC.
I am pretty sure the immunities that are passed through breast milk have to do with illness and not allergies.
I did not breast feed. I didn't get milk at all.

They do say it can help prevent allergies.
But a ton of my friends who breastfeed have babies with all kinds of allergies (they would have had them with formula as well, just stating that breastfeeding doesn't mean an allergy free baby!!).
There are definite immunities that can help the baby, especially premies.
I did NOT breastfeed and my son has no allergies and is not sick often..but he's also a SAH baby. Lol. You'll find contradictions everywhere!!
I think it's wonderful to try it out. I would have loved to have breastfed and had a positive experience but I didn't. With that being said, I'm glad I did not torture myself with it. I was much happier when i stopped!

i want to pump...IDK about the whole nipple thing LOL. i think about my baby nawing on my nipple when he/she gets it's first tooth and i shiver

I always wanted to BF...now that I am pregnant with twins I hope that it will all work out. My doctor told me that the breasts can produce enough milk for 4 babies...so that kinda made me feel a little better!

When I was pregnant with DS I always said I was going to try to BF.
He is now 7.5 months old and I am still going! (pumping during the day and nursing him when I am home and on weekends)
I absolutely love it!
