I see Dr. Braverman. So far, so good. I like his manner and my dealing with his office. I also love that he is always available by email, and responds quickly. I'll love him if and when he gets me PG!

First IVF...Dr. Tortoriello when he was at Columbia. I believe he is at SIRM now. He was nice..nothing to write home about but nice enough...got me pregnant on the first IVF so no complaints hereChat Icon

This IVF we are using Dr. Liccardi at NYU. We start next month and so far so good. I sent him an email asking him some questions and he called back to discuss so so far so good. Since we havent actually started I can't offer much more input.

Re: Who is your IF Dr...do you like him/her?

I see Dr. Braverman. Where I was before I met him, is a world of difference. A 180 degrees different.

My DH says he's a prodigy. He can do what very few dr.s can do. The more issues you have, the more reasons to go see him.

He is always accessible. I've emailed him a bazillion times 7 days a week, after work hrs, holidays, etc. His nurses and staff are wonderful too. They are genuine and helpful.

At this point, Dr. B has only seen the worst in me. I can't wait until the day where I cry tears of joy and I get congratulatory hugs rather than hugs for comfort.

Aside from being a very compassionate PERSON, he is a very dilligent and inquisitive Dr. He works hard for the money!

I see Dr. Braverman, and I feel so comfortable with him. I've only been to him once, so far, but he is wonderful. I emailed him and he responds pretty quickly. The only downfall is his monitoring hours, but I feel he is worth it. My DH never likes any of my doctors and he liked him a lot.

My "main" RE was Dr.Stelling at RSONY in Stony Brook and I really really liked him...And the whole staff ( nurses, sono techs etc..)

Good sense of humor (which sometimes is needed), yet professional, confident and very knowledgable ...Not a "handholder" , but I was good with thatChat Icon

i use san roman of RSofNY. office is very professional and monitoring appts usually run like clockwork, which is nice when you're rushing to work.

but i'm not pg and there's no explanation, so the jury is still out really.

Re: Who is your IF Dr...do you like him/her?

Contrary to other women on this board, I did not have a good experience with Dr Braverman. My first IVF experience with him was an absolute nightmare.

I will be cycling with Dr Davis at Cornell by the end of this month. He's supposed to be one of the best in his field and for treating women with my issues (high FSH). So far my experience with Cornell and Dr Davis has been an excellent one. I already saw a big difference during my consultation and orientation visit. Amazing professionalism that words cannot describe.

Re: Who is your IF Dr...do you like him/her?

im another dr. B fan. after a year of seeing him for PCOS, having 2 chemicals, getting dx with immune and thrombo issues, and doing several medicated cycles, he finally got me pregnant on my first IVF. other than a slight oversuppression from BCP and some OHSS as a result of PCOS, it was pretty much a textbook perfect IVF.

i have nothing but absolutely wonderful things to say about him. i feel like he is a part of my family.

i do agree that he is at his best for more complicated immune or miscarriage related cases - if all you want is a clomid IUI i wouldnt start with Dr. B unless he is super convenient for you. but he is absolutely amazing!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I see Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM...I love him and would highly recommend him. He is smart, compassionate, and very much up to date on the latest research in his field. I also think highly of the SIRM-NY embryologist.

Angel...many people think that Dr. Davis is the best when it comes to treating high FSH. You are lucky to be in his care. Good luck!!

Well...IMHO...no worries for you. All you can do is...what you can do. Although I know that he is thought to be the best when it comes to this issue, I know of several women that have not found success at Cornell with him and for some reason have found success at centers I would never go to after leaving his care. You just never know. If I had the insurance coverage for Cornell, I would have seen him or Dr. Spandorfer first for high FSH as I also have high FSH. I do however think you are in great hands. If things do not work out...sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can do the trick.

I am a patient of Dr. Braverman and I love him. He is the 4th specialist I have seen and though I am not pregnant yet I know he is the one that will get me pregnant unless I do it on my own. My husband loves him and I can't say enough about the staff. They are all wonderful.

Braverman!!! He is amazing!!! He got me pregnant on first IVF try. Too many great things to say about him!!!

I had two IUI failures and 1 IVF failure with my previous clinic (LIIVF). I wasn't happy with them. Too large...too impersonal.

I am currently a patient of Dr. Braverman and he is my 4th RE. After being to "the best of the best" in Manhattan, Dr. B. has gotten me further in an IVF cycle than any other RE. I really feel like he has a vested interest in his patients.

My first IVF and FET, I saw Dr. B. I too had a nightmare experience.

I just started seeing Dr. T at SIRM and so far, so good.

I go to Dr Trivax at RSofNY in Mineola

Really really like him, and the entire staff there. All the nurses and sono techs have been very kind and supportive. They're super quick to get back to you with results and seem to be very efficient in everything they do.
I like Dr Trivax because he's willing to keep pushing the envelope and trying new things - he always tries to keep our spirits up, yet he's realistic with what our options are and doesn't just tell me what he thinks i want to hear. Both DH and really like him.

I went to Dr B for a consult and a month and a half of testing and monitoring - i did not like him at all so didn't continue seeing him.

Dr. Trivax was also my RE. He was awesome and I still remember the day he gave me a high five and hugged me when I got a BFP on our final IUI attempt, it felt so comforting, unfortunately that cycle ended in a CP. This time around we got a BFP on our own and he gave DH the high five and job well done support! I agree the staff is great and very supportive. I've also seen most of the REs at RSofNY during my time there and would definitely recommend them. (I was recommended to their office by my BFF who used Dr. Trivax and Dr. Sung during her successful IVF cycle.)

I originally started my IF experience at NSUH with Dr. Cohen and the process was completely different and when compared to my BFFs we both thought it was time I switched.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I start with Dr. San Roman at RS of NY in Stony Brook tomorrow... I am moving from my OB/GYN that specializes in infertility...Scared and upset that I have to go, but excited for whats to come!
