who is paying for your baby shower?
mine will not be a surprise..i know my mom will most likely pay for it (she always pays for everything-she's so good! and generous!) but i would like to give her money towards it too...i was also wondering if your MIL will pay for their side?

my mom is paying for my ny shower. my mil is paying for my oot shower (all of my husband's family live out of state) and she wanted to throw one.

my mom paid for the whole thing, dh offered to help on more than one occasion but she would have no part of it,
my mil would never even offer to help pay yet expect to invite her friends i don't even know, thankfully she only did that at my bridal shower not my baby shower

that's like my mil...i know that she is going to have a good amount of family and coworkers that she'd want to invite..i'm tempted to tell her to pay for her side since she never offers to pay for anything..i just feel like why should my mom get stuck paying for all of her people and she does nothing once again...don't get me wrong, she's a good MIL but doesn't go above and beyond which stinks!

the best was i asked her for any names of people she wanted to invite, she starts to mention one friends, but she has no way to get there what would she do, she always expects dh to pick her and her friends up, i told her its my shower i can't be worried about how your friends get to my shower, i think thats why she didn't invite anyone, thankfully their family isn't that big

My Mom and MIL are splitting my big shower and my two best friends are paying for my shower in NC (smaller and in my house).

My parents were planning on paying for everything, but my Step Father in Law and his wife offered to split the cost.
Knowing my parents they wont even tell the In-Laws the full price and just let them help a little bit financially.
They are really overly generous. I told them not to be shy and to just let the In-Laws split it evenly.
