Who is having their first child?

This is our first and I am terrified. We were one of the firsts in our circles to be married so none of our friends have babies. We are also the eldest in our families, both in our immediate families as well as our cousins.

I haven't been around babies at all so I've never changed a diaper. I've held a baby once in my life. All the "babies" I had in my life are teenagers now.

We are but I'm not so terrified. I'm not going to lie, certain things scare me, but we have a ton of family support so I'm not too concerned.

It's our first and the first baby on my side of the family since me! I am the youngest of 9 cousins and the first to have one. Luckily I am like the last of my friends so I have tons of experience from their LOs.

This will be my first child and my husbands second. I am not terrified at alll!!! I can't wait ot meet the little nugget!!! lol What your feeling is very normal though!

It's our first, but my brothers both have had 2 and my friends have babies of their own and will give me advice

This is also our first. One of DH's friends has a baby, but they live in Ohio. We've seen them once since the baby was born. None of my friends have babies or are pregnant.

This is our first chile also. My sister has 2 kids but they are 10 & 6 now & my DH has 2 nieces who are 15 & 10. So it has been a while for both of us. I am first of my friends to get married & I am the first to have a baby. DH's friends have kids (only a few are married) but all he has ever done with their kids is play with them.

I am a little scared, but I think we will be OK.

Well... our first two!
I am not terrified, but I do think a lot about how my life is going to change. Its been DH and I for a few years now and I think about how it will change our relationship. But we are both so excited and ready to be parents, I know that although it will be tough in the beginning, it will make our bond stronger. I can't wait to see what traits these babies got from each of us.

I babysat a lot, and worked in camps, so I have a lot of experience with babies and little kids. I know that its nothing like being a parent but at least I have changed lots of diapers and fed fussy babies!

This is our first child - we have 10 nieces and nephews together and the LAST of our friends to get married and have kids

We have both been around tons of babies so Im not scared about that at all
Only scared of labor!!!

We are having twins, which will be our first children and while i'm scared, i'm more excited! We are lucky to have family so close by that I know we will have support which makes a world of difference. My feeling is that you just do it when the time comes, regardless of how difficult it could be. Plus, we have nothing to compare it to so we won't be saying "oh w/ so and so, it was so much easier"

This is our first. I'm not terrified...at least not yet. I don't have much experience with babies, and have never changed a diaper, but that stuff I think I can learn quickly. I think I'll be terrified when my is in my arms and suddenly I am totally responsible for keeping her safe. But for now, I'm just excited and already so in love with her.

This is his family’s first grandchild. My family’s second (I have a nephew)

Still everything sort of just comes to you.

My parents adopted three babies when I was 16 (so I guess I’m the middle of five?)
I helped raise them and I mean I did everything. Lets just say I didn’t know so much could go into and out of all the openings in a human body so very small!

My twin brothers were 3months premature and we got them at 3months old and very sickly. My sister was 1 and half and also very sickly.

Trust me .. I know its going to sound stupid but.. your love will show you the way.

Parenting is unique to each person. Advice is given when not wanted and needs to be taken with a grain of salt. My dad is already telling how to raise my daughter. Thankfully I know he means well and I’m trying to train him now. I love him (Dad) more than the world and value his advice but still, it’s my baby, I need to learn on my own with my hubby. Its part of the process.

Am I scared? Nah, I don’t think I’ll harm my baby. They are very resilient, thank god. Still I sort of anxious that I won’t be able to handle all the stress and I really need my hubby to be a partner in this more than anything in the world.

This will be our first. But we have little nieces and nephews that we've always babysat and most of my friends have babies already, so we're pretty comfortable around them.

This is our first and the first grandchild on both sides of the family!! We are all so freakin excited that fear hasn't settled in yet!

This is our first and the first grandchild on both sides. Yes, we are nervous....I think my DH more...lol... but, we are very excited and we have alot of family that will help.

This is the first baby in our family since my nephew (whos 10) but this is the 3rd in 3 yrs for DH family. I am the youngest of 3 and DH is the oldest of 5. I am not scared at all I have been working in pediatrics for almost 9 years and I am very comfortable with babies. My DH on the other hand is a lil scared b/c even though he is the oldest of 5 (his 1/2 sister was born when he was 18) he didn't grow up in the house with little ones (he was brought up by his grandparents after his mom passed away) So I think it will take a little while for him to feel more comfortable but he'll do just fine but b/c we had such a rough time getting and staying pg I think we will both be a lil overprotective than most...

me me me! this is our 1st child

although i've had a bit of practice...my little sister was born when i was 13 and i loved to take care of her and then my little brother was born was i was 19!! () so i had another opportunity to take care of a baby then. plus all of my cousins and their babies i swear our family is like a baby factory! there are always babies around!

this will be DH's first contact with a newborn period. he must be scared sh*tless! <~ i'm mean.

this is our first but everyone around us has kids, I have a really big family.

This is my first and DHs 2nd. I am number 5 of 7 kids and DH is the first of 5. This baby will be the 10th grandchild on my side and the 4th on his. Eventhough I have been around babies my entire life and DH has experience from his son, I am sure there will be adjustment and getting used to how things work. I'm sure everything changes when it's your own

It's our first but we're not nervous. It will be the first grandchild/niece/nephew in the family but our friends have already starting having kids so our baby will be the 5th kid in the bunch. We have both been around babies for years and years and we have wonderful families and friends to help too so I'm sure we'll be fine. We are more excited than anything else.
