Who had morning sickness?- Random poll

Several friends are pregnant, and none of them have had true morning-sickness (literally throwing up). Neither did I. I don't know anyone in real-life who had it. I was nauseous when really hungry, but only threw up twice. You always hear it happens (and I know several of you on here had it to extreme levels ), but just didn't know how common it is during pregnancy.

yep, I had it until I was 5 months pregnant

I had it very severe. I was hospitalized 2 times because of it.

Yup. Had it until 17 weeks. Got sick every day, sometimes 8-9 times a day for 10 weeks straight. I just kept telling myself, it means everything is going the way it's supposed to.

I had it with all 3. It's the absolute worst! I pray it goes away soon.

I had it really bad, vomitting 4,5, 6 times a day , horrible.

I had it severe too! Until 4 months. Hospitalized also. Brought on contractions from dehydration.

I had it with both girls. it was gone by 10-11 weeks with both of them.

yes, I don't look forward to being preggo again at all. I did not really function, I have no idea what I will do with Josh if sick again.

Yes for 15 weeks...constant nausea that only went away when I was asleep. I was miserable

I had a little nauseau, maybe 6-7x, nothing major at all.

I had it from about 7 weeks until 15 weeks. Basically survived on bagels for every meal during that time!

Even got sick commuting into Manhattan one morning on the bus!

All day long for the 1st 5 months They almost hospitalized me I LOST weight that 1st trimester!

One reason I'm nervous about having #2 is going through all that again.

Yup.

With both pregnancies.

Lasted all 9 months.

Lost 45-ish lbs. prenant with #1.

Lost 27-ish lbs. pregnant with #2.

Yes and no--depends how you define it. I would say yes--though I never vomited, I was nauseous often, and usually not in the morning. I also had some serious food aversions--vegetables only became appealing again a few weeks after delivering DS.

To a mom who vomited non-stop, I probably don't count!

I only threw up maybe 5 times my whole pregnancy BUT I had bad morning sickness all day until about week 9-10 then it tapered off and disappeared around 12 weeks - but I would still get an occasional day. It was so bad that I had terrible food aversions - I could not go anywhere where I could smell red meat and some other foods - I could only eat veggies and vegetarian foods and fish for the first few months - I lost about 10 lbs from it.

I did not have one ounce of morning sickness.

On the other hand my best friend had MS EVERY single of her pregnancy (throwing up and gagging as certain smells). She is now PG with #2, and has had some MS, bu not as severe

PS she had a DD 1st and is now PG with DS!

I had it till about 14 weeks and I had it BAD! I had my head in the toilet at least 4 times a day

i had it BAD for the whole pregnancy...it was HORRIBLE and i am so nervous for my next b/c of it. DH and myself almost decided that DS would be an only child b/c i wasnt sure i could go through it again. luckliy Ds is amazing and we are looking forward to having another eventually (when DS is a little more independent in case i have it again that bad)
I was literally passed my due date and throwing up, almost not making the toilet b/c my stomach was so big (sorry if TMI)
