My parents, sister, nephews etc, all exchange cards, which I even think gets to be a bit much.
DH's family (parents and two sisters) all exchange GIFTS! We actually have to get together with them around v-day to exchange presents! It's like Chanukah, part 2. Granted, it's fun to get stuff, but it's a pain in the neck to find gifts for everyone, and totally unnecessary! It's not like his parents have little kids anymore...they are 23, 27, and 31!

DH's family always sends cards to us and stuff (and sometimes gifts) but we don't reciprocate. -- To me, V-Day is a day for people you love, love...like inlove, love.

We dont like it either! Its really a Hallmark holiday. But we surrender and get each other cards ( at BJs for 50% off of course).....we dont buy for anyone else but my parents and his parents have sent us cards in the past.

I do scratch off tix in everyone';s card (mom, dad, sis, bro, gram).
I get dh a gift..WAIT..LOL No gifts for DH and I, LOL..We are going to Mohegan Sun instead, I almost forgot!
We may go to dinner Vday night, but not too sure if I am working.

Me too but my DH always trys to do something nice! Most of the time we just have a nice at home dinner! I have really never been into the holiday!

I agree! Usually me and Don will buy each other cards and gifts but this year we arent doing anything, no cards, no dinner nothing.

I love it now that Im married and always have someonme to share it with.
Just because I think it's just like every other holiday that is way too commercialized. Don't get me wrong, I think it's fun for some people, but I'm just not into it. I never have been.

Sadly I was told that "we are not a valentine's day couple" last year. 
So this year I plan to track down my long lost friend from college & send her chocoalate strawberries. Years ago when she didn't have a boyfriend and everyone was asking who her valentine was and I answered "Me!" I gave her chocolate covered strawberries, flowers & a card. We got drunk on the steps of the Administration building & went out dancing. Best Valentine's Day ever!
