Who did you go with when registering?
Was it just you and DH? I feel like we need help so my girlfriend is probaly going to come. Did you bring your mother?

I only went with DH. I looked at a lot of things on line and I used consumer reports before registering.

It was actually just me. WOuld have taken FOREVER if I were to bring my boyfriend and my mom didn't really understand the idea of "registering" so I went solo. Me and my Baby Bargains book!! Prior to going though, I did speak to a lot of mommies and got great suggestions of what they used/didn't use/highly recommend... etc. Plus I did most of my registering online and just had to add some smaller things in-store.

The first inital time I went with DH and then I brought a friend who had just gone through this 6 months prior. Now I just add things thru BRU internet site if needed.

I did something similar, but went looking first with BF who recently had a baby, did the actual registering with DH after reviewing consumer reports.

my mom and i went to BRU first to kind of check everything out. then i registered for a lot of the big stuff online with my DH. then after our level II, DH and i went to BRU to finish the registry.
basically i just picked what i wanted and registered for it if DH approved

I went last year with 2 of my sisters to help my sister register. It was definitely helpful for her.
When we register, it will just be the 2 of us. Afterwards, I'll probably go back with one of my sisters.

I registered online at amazon and BRU.... so I did it alone!
I AM making sure DH approves the large decisions... furniture, stroller, carseat...
otherwise he's not into decorating and shopping.. I get to pick all the little things myself

DH for the main registry and my mom for the secondary one.
Then I had my sister and a few friends look over everything online and made changed accordingly.

I went with DH to BBB because that is where we got the bigger ticket items that I knew he would have an opinion on.
I went with two very good friends (and LIFers) to BRU for the day to day stuff like feeding/sleeping/diapering type of things as well as some clothing. I was very helpful to have them there as DH would have been bored senseless picking our nursing pads.

Just me, DH didn't want to go. Still annoyed about that, though he would have been so bored and probably would have rushed everything. He did go look at the crib though.
If you have a friend or family member who recently had a baby, I would ask them to go. They'll have a better idea of what you need (and what you don't), and will probably be more interested.
