First Birthday. We invited more friends to the 1st birthday. Christening was just immediate family (about 21 people) plus godparents

Neither for us. Both were just small, immediate family only. No more than 20 after all was counted and done.

We had the same amount of people - give or take a few - we eliminated some "oldies" for some friends for the first birthday which even'd it out... but the Christening was just a dinner and the party was a party with entertainment.

I think Christening will definitely be the bigger party. We haven't had first birthday but we're not planning on a big party for that.

We invited more people to the 1st birthday party as far as friends with children but more family and family friends to the christening.
So about the same amount of people - just different types of parties.

We kept the christening to famly and a few close friends. I'm sure their first birthday will be bigger, especially since we can have it outside.

Her is bday will be bigger. Christening we did small - about 25 people. For her 1st bday we'll invite about 50-60 people.

At Matthew's Christening we had 38 people plus 12 kids and 4 infants...
His 1st Birthday is in June!

The same although with her birthday we had two separate parties: one for friends and one for family. Since my niece's 1st b-day was 3 days before, we did a joint family thing.
In any case, both were too large for my liking!!!

Her 1st Birthday will be the bigger of the two. I only invited immediate family to her Christening and we had 45 people. I will invited more people to her 1st B'day.

so 1st bdays are much bigger for us.
