which video monitor... now with pics to choose from...
i have a $50 monitor but people are saying get the video one any suggestions.. TIA

We just returned out Summer Night Vision video monitor. 
For the girls who love it, do you have wireless networks in your home?
We were having too much interference with all of our electronics (wireless network, phones, etc.) so we had to go with a "standard" sound only monitor.
A manager at BBB told us that everything basically interferes with it: computers to home alarms. (We thought the monitor was broken and were prepared to exchange it for a new one until he told us that.)

I would recommend the summer handheld with nightvision opposed to the one that is not portable. Its worth the extra money IMO.
ETA: We do have wireless and have no problems. We did upgrade our phones from 900mHZ to digital phones but we had wanted to do that anyway. Other than that it works perfectly and the battery has a great long life.

We have the Mobicam system w/ 2 cameras and we're very happy w/ it. Our cordless phones are 5.8 GHz and there's no interference (there was when we had the 2.4 GHz phones).Image Attachment(s):

SUMMER had nothing but problems with Safety 1st and their customer service stinks!!
BTW I have wireless internet, phones and an alarm system and no problems with the Summer........but major interference problems with Safety 1st.........

I have the first one you posted and it works great and I have had no problems with it. We keep the video screen in our bedroom and the handheld part downstairs. I used it in the beginning but found that I would spend so much time staring at dd that I had to turn it off!

Thanks girls...I think I'm going to buy & try another Summer Handheld Night Vision monitor. (I really liked it when it worked.) Maybe the one we had was just busted b/c our phones are 5.8GHz (although I believe our wireless network is 2.4GHz.)
We currently have a Graco and it sucks. (the volume doesn't go very loud, so I can hardly hear anything.)
