Volvo has some nice features not found anywhere in there new lineup of vechicles. Pricey but the saftey features may be worth it for some for peace of mind.
These lexus is a more expensive toyota post are funny due to no argurement. Toyota/Lexus happens to be #1 in terms of cars sold in the US. GM with all its different lines can't say that.
I owned two Toyotas and both were great cars with no problems.
I would buy the Lexus

I have a lexus 330 suv and love love love it. I think it is so terrific that I begged my mother to get the same one! So I say... Lexus!!!!

I have the Lexus truck and I LOVE it. Best car I have ever had (it should be for the  ). I feel extremely safe in it and it is the best ride ever.
