Where we are now...could it be? UPDATE
Hi ladies, I have been wanting to give an update on where we are in our TTC/IF journey, so here goes. Right now, I am in the 2 ww and will have beta monday. We did our third medicated IUI right after Christmas (12/28). This month we increased the Clomid to 100 mg. On our first attempt with 50 mg, got 2 follies, on second only 1. This month they saw 4, which I am thinking is good! Hubby's count was even good this month, and we didn't have to go back for a second IUI as we have in the past. We BD'd also prior to and after the IUI as extra insurance.
So the plan is that if this month is a bust, we will move on to IVF. In preparation for that, we attended an orientation this week, and I had a consult with doc to discuss a plan. Had a great meeting with Dr. Cain (RSNY). In a weird way I am actually feeling excited about moving forward if we have to. Due to my high FSH, she wants us to do a European protocol, combo of Clomid and Follistim. For some reason, I asked one of the nurses as I was leaving if she had any pregnancy tests she could give me. She snuck me one and I went home.
I don't usually test before the beta, b/c I really don't want to spend the extra money on the tests and end up with a negative. Was not even sure if I was gonna use the one she gave me, but started thinking that it might be really great if I tested and it was positive. I could tell my hubby this w/e and we could have some hope for Monday's beta. So...I tested last nite...and...I got a faint line!!!! COULD IT REALLY BE? I showed DH when he got home, to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, and he saw the faint line too. My head has been spinning ever since. Today I am gonna go buy some tests to check again. I am worried that I did the test wrong.
So, that's where we are now. I was prepared for my post here to be a bunch of IVF questions, but now maybe not. Sorry this is so long, but as I said, my head is spinning! Please pray that this is really a BFP and if it is, then this one sticks. I am so worried after having 2 mc's.
UPDATE: 5:00 pm 1/9/10
So I bought a three pack of First Response and used two already. I am like obsessed! Both had two lines, although when I took the second it was still faint but visable. I have been drinking a lot of water though. I am gonna hold out for tomorrow's first pee to use the last test. Please keep those good vibes coming!
PS, I didn't buy digital b/c last time I used one it was negative. I am supersitious!
UPDATE: 1/10/10
Took the third test this morning at 5:30am and still got two lines. They were not a faint as test number two from yesterday. Dare I say I am feeling confident that after 4 home tests that the results are true?!! Looking forward to beta tomorrow morning! I will keep you all posted. 
UPDATE 1/11/10
Got the beta results back and I got a BFP!!! HcG 320, progesterone 35, E2 574. I go back in two days to check for an increase. Thank you all for your encouragement and thoughts along the way...I will continue to keep you posted. Please keep us in your prayers!
UPDATE 1/15/10
Hey Ladies! I went for my second beta on 1/13 and we went up to 888, so thankfully we are on our way. Progesterone is holding steady too. Since the nurses know my history of MC and know I am a bit worried, they said I can come back Saturday for another beta if I want to get some reassurance. I am takiing them up on the offer! We are scheduled for first sono next Friday. I am trying to take it day by day, but it is very difficult. Please keep us in your thoughts. Thanks!
UPDATE 1/17/10
I went for the third beta yesterday and it went up to 2398! I am glad the numbers are going in the right direction, but I am also a bit concerned that they are on the high end for where I am (only 4 weeks and a few days). Can high betas indicate a problem? I asked the nurses and they do not seem concerned. I am wondering if I could be carrying multiples? I asked about molar pregnancy and they said no. I wish I could just relax and enjoy this, but with all we have been through it is tough not to be on alert. Also, how do I determine how far along I am? If I calculate based on LMP, that was on 12/15, so I think I would be at 4 wks, 5 days. But one of the nurses calculated based on my IUI date, which was 12/28, so with that date I would be 5 wks already. Which way of dating is correct?
I am scheduled for 1st sono on 1/22. Very anxious to see what is happening in there! Again, my thanks to all of the wonderful ladies here. I can't say enough how much all of the support is appreciated!

Wow!!! Sounds like this one worked! So.....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I've heard even the faintest line means BFP......so it looks like you may be on your way!
Hope this is it for you and the beginning of 9 wonderful months.
Have you gone to the store to pick up another test for confirmation....maybe a digital if you don't want to wait till Monday's beta.

I had a really faint line (you seriously couldn't even see it). I am now almost 7 months preggers. Go get a digital and confirm! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

ITA, especially seeing the word PREGNANT rather than a line or a plus definitely hits you harder.
