Where in Nassau do you buy your Meat? Grocery store, butcher, etc...UPDATED with another quest in first post...
I think I am going to attempt Lamb as one of my Easter entrees...where in Nassau do you recommend I buy it from? TIA!
thanks for all of the recommendations. I have a dumb question, but is this something i should pre-order for Easter? We are chicken folk, so I am clueless about meat!  Thanks!

We always get all our meat/chicken etc from my local butchers - they have great quality meats and have been around since I was a child.
Town meat market - in Garden city on 7th street.

if you don't have a good local butcher I also recommend the butcher at fairway.
I bought a lovely rack of lamb their for Christmas. the meat was dreamy, and I don't even like lamb 
a butcher in Astoria will also have some great lamb.

When I lived in Levittown I got meat from a butcher on Wantagh Avenue - I think the name was The Meat Grinder.

I second Astoria. I grew up in Queens and that's where my family always went for lamb.

Cross Island Produce in Malverne is awesome. great meat department.
also, i swear by Costco. their meat is really, really good.

I made leg of lamb last Easter and got it at Stop and Shop...it was really good. They cut the bone out and wrapped it in string for me too.

At the very least I would call the store you're planning on getting it from and check. Lamb is very popular for Easter so you don't want to have to change your menu last minute.
