Either crib in our room or in our bed with us if it makes nursing at night easier.

May get flamed, but co-sleeping does not bother me one bit. Chat Icon

They are going to sleep in the same crib in one of their rooms at first and then seperated when they are a little older. I wasn't planning on having them with us just bc the room isn't really big enough for two bassinents!

Re: Where do plan to have your infant sleep?

I would love to have them both in their cribs (or sharing a crib) from day one, however, the nursery is upstairs and our master is on the first floor, so for the first week or so I will put them in the twin PNP in our room until I can go up and down the stairs after my C-section. As soon as I can I plan to put them in the crib.

Bassinett in our room until about 12 weeks, then in her crib in her bedroom that she will be sharing with her sisters. Chat Icon

Ours will be sleeping in the stroller bassinet for however long we want (hopefully no more than about 8-10 weeks) and then in the crib.

ETA: I just wanted to say that I have emailed the manufacturer to find out if my stroller bassinet is safe for night sleeping (I have the Bugaboo Cameleon - if anyone already knows the answer to this please share!). If not, we'll go with a moses basket.

Re: Where do plan to have your infant sleep?

We have a 1BR right now so crib in our room from the start. We are planning on buying a house either before baby or right after. If we move before the crib will be in our room for awhile, and then DH will move it into baby's room once we are comfortable with that. Either way I am avoiding a bassinet b/c DH rolled over when he was a newborn before he left the hospital. He is 6'6 so I am sure this baby is going to be huge, and not fit in a bassinet rather quickly. Right now we just don't have the space.

I have a feeling I wont truly decide this till we bring DC home. BUT...I am hoping to have DC sleep in the crib at night. The nursery will be right across the hall from ours and we will keep the doors open.

Re: Where do plan to have your infant sleep?

If your paranoid about SIDS (as I am), its best to have infant sleep it its own crib in your room, near mommy.

Research shows that for some reason this helps reduce the risk. No one knows for sure why.

We actually have no choice tiny apartment, and our bedroom is the biggest room in the place. So baby is sleeping with us, till we get a house.
