I met mine on the middle of the dancefloor at Club Exit in NYC on Thanksgiving Eve 1999 
I met my DH also on Thanksgiving eve 1999 in the city but at a mutual friends party.
Thanksgiving Eve 2000 at a bar in Islip!  What a great night for hooking up!

We met at a fraternity party up at Syracuse in September of 1988 and then again in March of 2004 on JDate.
 We met at Syracuse too.

We went to high school together, though we didn't start dating until about 2 weeks before I graduated (he had graduated the year prior).
What's bizarre, though, is that my friend had her IM window open one day when I was over. I chose a random friend from her IM list to message with "Hi, this is Beth. Will you marry me?"
It was him!

I chose "other"
He was my BF's older sisters friend and I always had a crush on him (since I was 12)
We "met" officially 12 years later at the engagement party of another friend's sister.
Did that make sense?
