When you stop breast feeding...

When does the guilt go away?
I had to stop bf dd 2 weeks ago at 7 months. She takes the bottle with no problem but once a day she will grab me and pull my shirt down to nurse - everytime she does that I feel guilty for stopping

I assume its a normal reaction for her to have, but how long will it last? When will she forget that's where she used to get milk from and stop trying to nurse?

I'm not totally sure yet! DD is 17 months and has been fully weaned for about 6 weeks. She still says "eat" at times while pulling my shirt a bit and I wonder how long she'll do that. She doesn't get upset or anything so I think she's just remembering and to her looking down my shirt or seeing my bra reminds her so she says it. I just tell her yes, that's where you used to eat. She doesn't actually try to nurse but it still stings a little. You did a great thing nursing that long and you should be proud but I definitely understand where you're coming from.
