When you hang out with youlr girlfriends,

do you hang out with their dh/so as well?


i feel like i can never see my friend alone with out her bf being with her.

i mean duh, how are we supposed to talk about him, if he is right there!

i dont mean offense but i want to see her alone, not him too, hanging all over her




but i feel like if i dont see her and him, i will never see her.

if im with anthony, then id like to hang out with my friend and her SO, you know like a double date.

But if im solo, i want her all to myself. So we can talk about girl stuff and truly be ourselves just like we were before SO's came into the picture

My friends and I rarely see each other with DH's in tow...but there are several reasons for that, mainly children. One stays home and watches the kiddies while the other goes out. And of course, how can you talk about them if they're right there?

nope- we normally get together for "girls only dinners and then every once and a while plan double dates with the boys

my od my friends SO or DH work alot - and so does mine- so getting together just us girls during the week is easier

plus- how else can we talk abou them!

Girls only...theres time when we all get together as well...maybe you should let her know that once in a while you would like to get together just with her so that you can talk about different things...for example her husband j/k no but seriously tell her that you would like to just hang out with her...like the old times or something like that.

My friends usually leave their SO home. No reason, just we usually will meet up after work or something and our jobs are relatively close to one another, so it's just easiers.

A lot of FH's friends though come to hang out with both of us because we're all friends from college, so in that respect, FH's friends are my friends too (and to set the record straight. FH wouldn't be friends with them had I not introduced them all! )

usually we get together without DH/SOs but once in awhile it's nice to get together and have them there too.

Friday nighs are usually our girls night and then on quite a number of Saturdays we all get togther (guys and girls). Works out pretty nicely!

My Dh and I have such different schedules sometimes when I do get the chance to see my friends it's usually solo.

more often than not we all get together bc we're all friends and my close girl friends all have serious SO, FH or DHs and I have a DH. We all hang out - but at times the boys and girls separate - which sounds like elem school but does allow us to have separate conversations.

we do plan girls only outings periodically too though!

We all usually hang out together. We do plan a "Girls night out" once in a while. As a matter of fact, we have one planned for Friday night. I haven't been off on a Friday night in weeks and am so happy I can go!

No - my girlfriends and I either hang out with just us (the girls) or all of us and our all of our DHs.

We have 3 different types of get-togethers with our "crew".

We have the "girls only" get-togethers.

We have the girls and DH's get-togethers.

And we have the family get-togethers with the kids.

The third type happens most often because it's hard to rustle up babysitters...but when we DO have "girls only" (like this upcoming Sunday )...the sh*t surely does fly!!

DH has a big group of friends from HS that is becoming a group of couples as they all get serious girlfriends, get married, etc..
SOO we do a little of everything. sometimes we will do things with the whole big group of us- guys and girls. and then every few months we'll do a night where the guys all go out and do their thing while all of us wives/girlfriends have a sleepover or do something fun, too! i think you need both because like people said- when else are you gonna talk about each other?!

Friday nights tend to be girls night. I think its important to just hang with your girlfriends too. We tend to go out more as a group on Saturdays, and to big events.

if it's a "couples" night then of course DH comes! but if i talk to my girlfriends and say let's have lunch then i leave him at home...which he's completely fine with! he doesnt want to hear us gossiping or talking about handbags!

my girlfriends and i like to have our "sex and city luncheon" once a month. our schedules are so different (especially cause i work on weekends) so we designate one saturday a month to get together and hang out! it's so much fun!!!

both- we have couple nights and then we have girl nights/days... thursdays my best friend has off from work or works half a day and i have off-no parttime no nothin'-it is ritual...we always hang out-without the guys-but we also hang out as couples...

I would find that annoying. It's almost like they merged together into some kind of pod.
