by 7 months. at 6 months she could so long as i used the shopping cart cover because it had better support. at 7 months i just buckled her up real good. once they can sit up on their own they are ready.

Kaydyn was very sturdy once she was sitting up so she was in the shopping cart at 5 months.
Ainsley we were just able to put sitting in the cart because even though she has been sitting up for over a month now, she still wasn't completely steady in a cart (same with a high chair at a restaurant)

I put DS in for the first time around 6 months - he was sitting well when supported so I put in the cart cover and stuffed it with blankets. He loved it.
Now, we're having problems because he likes to climb out - those seatbelts are too short!

Around 7 months. I would stuff rolls of paper towels on either side of her to keep her snug.

I just started to at 11mo. He would have been fine earlier..i just got tired of carting the stroller everywhere.

DS started at around 6 months, we use the shopping cart prop.

this is great! where did you get it?
DS has never sat in the shopping cart yet but he is definitely ready. He's 8 months.
