When to Test?
so this is my first month off BCP so i have no idea what a regular cycle length would be or when O would happen.
we BD almost daily from CD 9 through CD 21 (we were on vacation from 14-21 which made it a lot easier to get BD time  ).
so at what point would it be safe to consider myself "late" so i can test?? i know first cycle off BCP could last longer than average so while I would love to test on the 29th since its my Bday, not sure if thats really late enough. on BCP i had like perfectly timed 24 day cycles - AF always came like clockwork. dont remember what my cycle was like before that it was so long ago.
(TMI alert) anyway i had like very little CM throughout the whole vacation but i was in and out of the pool and ocean a lot so im wondering if that had an effect on CM. since ive been back home ive had a little but def nothing that i would consider EWCM. i dont think i actually saw anything that would be considered EWCM at all this cycle.
honestly at this point i really dont even know when to expect AF so i think ill just test on the 31st which would be CD31.. also is my moms 60th bday so that would be an awesome gift for her if it were to work out that way.. thoughts??

well, my cycles were back to "normal" my first month off of birth control - which for me is sort, 23-25 days. so not everyone deals with messed-up hormones, although it is possible.
if i were you i would test on CD29, because with a textbooks cycle, you'd be one day late. if you get a negative but no AF, i would wait another week and test again, and so on.
unless you are pushing 50+ days with no AF, i would not worry at all.
and as for CM, i do not have EWCM. to get around that, i use pre-seed.
and CM is not always present on the "outside" - if you want to check your CM, your best bet is to get up in there and check, or else look on the toilet paper after going #2.

thats the problem - i have no idea when or even if i Oed. i have no historic data or symptoms to have judged if it happened or not.
so i guess ill just test after 30 days unless AF shows up first.
at least if i do get AF ill be able to guesstimate for next month lol.
