When to start OPK's?
Well I decided this month to try an OPK. I bought the Clear Blue Easy with Smiley faces. Today is CD8 and I have a pretty regular cycle...anywhere from 26-29 days. What day should I start testing? I bought the opk's that have 7 in a box?
Tks

The instructions in the box will tell you when to start depending on the length of your cycle.

Re: When to start OPK's?
I'm on a 28 day cycle and when I did the OPKs, I tried to go from CD10-16. It was just too expensive to do it any more than that
For you, being that your cycle varies and could sometimes be earlier than 28 days, I would just start this month on CD10, but if you don't get your +, then start testing a little bit earlier next time (like CD8)

Re: When to start OPK's?
Start tomorrow...for a 26 day cycle you should start on day 9. (I have a 30 day and I started on day 9 I was so impatient...but I used cheapie line tests)

Re: When to start OPK's?
a 28 day cycle is suggested to start on day 11 so if you could be 26 i would start tomorrow; day 9

Re: When to start OPK's?
I started on CD10 with strip tests and then when I thought I had a positive, I tested with the CBE digitals! It worked our first month!
At CD14, I thought I got a positive with the strip so I tested with the digital and it was negative. I had a negative again on CD15 and then on CD16 and CD17 I got positives with the digitals.
The CBE digitals are very expensive, I would use the strips until you are pretty confident you have a positive and then confirm with the digital!!

Thanks everyone! Started today...I Know the CBE are expensive but I'm not generally a big spender and I just thought I'de have a difficult time with the line tests so we'll see!

Re: When to start OPK's?
I would start around CD 10.
To save money I use the cheap test strip OPK's. I think they work just as well and save money.
