WE have a "No soliciting" sign on our front door and don't answer the door if we don't know the people.
We don't have sidewalks and the houses are pretty far apart in the new neighborhood so I'm not sure if we'll have so many door-to-door visitors.

I've done that when they called me!!!!
I used to work for a non-profit & never even thought to say that! You're a genius!
I usually just tell them to have their corporate office mail me some literature to look at & explain I don't do door to door donations. I am still stupid enough to open the door though.

same here....I dont let them make me feel bad, I donate often, and I tell them, I have no way of knowing who they are, Im sorry I dont donate in person to people at my door or on the streets either
