Re: When is your birthday??
I'm in April, DH and DD are in August...both are nice...gives a break between the holidays...
If I get a BFP this month, I'll be due the end of October, which is awesome because I love the fall...
Next month would be end of November...I worry about Thanksgiving overshadowing, and my nephew is 11/22, so I fear the family would force some sort of combined party....

Re: When is your birthday??
My birthday is the end of May. While the weather is usually nice, it kinda sucks because everyone is usually away for memorial day weekend and there is no one around to celebrate with. I don't really remember this too much from when I was kid-- but as I got older, it's more the case.
My DD's bday is in the winter-- and it kinda sucks too. Can't have her party in the yard, and always worry about snow ruining festivities. Although, they do say that Jan/Feb/March babies excel in many areas because they are the oldest in their grades, etc.

Is this really true? Because until the 4th grade (I think) the age is calculated into the score or has some effect on the score.. because a child born on January 5th is almost a year older than a child born December 5th of the same year.. and the score or ranking takes this into consideration..

I am not sure how true it is-- but I read an article a couple years ago, maybe when I was pregnant that research shows this... I'll see if I can find it. I guess the theory is that they around longer, so they have more practice with things. Who knows.

Re: When is your birthday??
8/18 I don't like it because when I was in school I could never celebrate, and now it seems to be prime vacation season for pretty much everyone I know...It's also usually really freakin' hot which I HATE (<---me burning up)

I know.. I have heard this too.. and my old neighbor was a teacher and I remember her saying even though people think that Jan/Feb babies are older than Nov/Dec babies, on Citywide tests and other IQ related tests, birthday plays a huge factor especially in elementary school.
Teacher mommies and mommies to be.. is this true?!

i have read this as well, which is why i'd ideally like my kids to be born early in the year. of course that doesnt mean that kids born later are less intelligent! they all catch up in the end.
i had posted this on that other drama thread from FHF a month or so ago.

1. im born in feb and always exceled in school and got a full scholarship to college bc of academics. not sure if that means jan/feb/march babies r smarter but thanks for making me feel better about winter birthdays!!!! then again DH is nov. and was young for his grade and is also very smart and got a college scholarship there goes that theory. lol
2. im a teacher and as far as age playing a part in testing, this is not the case as far as i know.
