Always.
You see WAY too many people blow the light.
It's scary

I think i'm on conscious of doing it at some intersections, not all
like if i'm on sunrise hwy, i'll usually check the traffic crossing the intersection to make sure they've all stopped.
if its on a local side street, i'm not usually checking the cross street.

When I was 18 my sister and I stopped at a light. The car on the other side, ran the light and hit a woman who started to cross the road, when the light had changed. Needless to say we witnessed the poor woman's death.

Since then I always assume that cars will and do run the read light...so I always look before proceeding through the intersection

I do majority of the times.. especially if I'm in a new area or a busy intersection. I do wait a couple of seconds before I move though..

I always do!
You never know who's going to decide to blow through a stop sign or red light.

DH recently almost got hit by a guy that decided he's not only going to speed but also try and beat the light (he actually ran the light- in the process skidding on black ice from the last snow storm)..long story short had DH not taken the moment to look, he would have been seriously hit.

Always. Any intersection I approach, I scan, even when driving 65 mph.

I never used to...then I got hit once and now I do.

After I was hit by a guy that went right through a stop sign, yes, I almost always look b4 I go when the light turns green. I also hesitate a little if others have a stop sign.

All the time - I work by DPA - there's ALWAYS some jerkwad that runs a red.

I get so nervous the other person won't stop for their red light.

I have ever since my DH was smashed into badly by someone running the light.

I always wait a second to make sure no cars are trying to make the red light.

I do this even more especially when crossing the street on foot. At least in a car you have the a barrier between you and another vehicle. On foot, you have nothing to protect you. I've seen too many accidents where people have gone through red lights.

I watched two friends of mine get T-Boned on the way home from high school. They were in front of me. The light turned green and they went. I looked(out of habit and they did not) I knew the car flying the other way was NOT going to stop but there was nothing I could do about it really. I laid on my horn, but it was too late. They got hit so hard they flew across the intersection and into the woods. They were in a huge old pick up truck and were OK. luckily.

Yup, I'd like to say always, but it's probably more like usually.

Yes always. I almost got hit a few times by people just going right through a dead red light.
