When do you start decorating for Christmas?
I'm curious - I went to pick up DS from a playdate yesterday and they were decorating their tree!
To me it is way too early. I know a lot of people do it the weekend after Thanksgiving but that is still way too early, IMO. We usually get a tree the first week of December.

First week of Dec- same as you.
I don't want to look at it for that long
I'd be sick of it before Christmas.
I see a lot of people had stuff up a few weeks ago.
I don't mix holidays. I don't want any Christmas shit around while i'm eating the bird.

when DS was little, i would decorate the first week of december.
now that there are no kids in the house... we put up a charlie brown christmas tree and call it a day.
don't be surprised if i turn into a crazy decorator the day i become a grandmother, though lol
it's my life goal to become the favorite grandma 
someday... maybe

When do you start decorating for Christmas?
This week. It takes forever to decorate so I did one tree and the mantle etc yesterday. The tree in our main living area I will probably put up today to make sure it works (just bought it) and will decorate it Friday.

When do you start decorating for Christmas?
The tree is up and I'm putting the lights on it this week. We put the ornaments on the tree and decorate the rest of the house Thanksgiving weekend.
I find that I am less stressed about getting it done if I have enough time to get the lights on. I do not like pre-lit trees, so I will always be light stringing.

Day after thanksgiving. We are all home so it is easy and fun. I do take everything down January 2nd though. I only have so many days off work and by then im sick of it.

It used to be the day after Thanksgiving, but now I do it on Thanksgiving because we don't really celebrate it and it gives me the rest of the weekend free.
But...I'm also ready to take it down NYE.

I, for one, can't host Thanksgiving while staring at a Christmas tree or any Christmas decorations for that matter.
We have high ceilings in our kitchen, and DH goes all out decorating the tops of our kitchen cabinets. So that alone can take a full weekend. We will start that first weekend in December.
Have to get a real tree this year; and since I dont want it to dry out and have the needles start falling; I will wait until second week of December for that.

yeah when it comes to outside stuff we try to do it on a day that isn't too cold, even if it's early. We just don't light it until after thanksgiving.
This year, we still haven't done it though. And it's going to get cold.
Hopefully there will be a day between now and Dec 1 that isn't freezing though

We always do it the weekend after thanksgiving. This year we did it the beginning of November, as we had a foster child who had never decorated before and was so upset that he wouldn’t be doing it with us, so we made an exception. Pretty sure my house looks like the Griswalds this year, and my DH was so excited to do it lol.

Every other year I host Thanksgiving. That year I decorate the weekend after. This year no one is coming over so we started changing over the decorations today. DH actually put all the outside stuff out yesterday because it was so nice out but we won't light it until the weekend.

Usually some decorating on Thanksgiving weekend - small decor. We get a live tree so we won’t be putting up the tree for another week or so.

Usually I am a staunch not before December 1st person, and I don't take down until the Epiphany. But this year I decided since I have 5 days off for Thanksgiving, that I should take advantage and do it while I have time. Of course the year I decide this is the year that Thanksgiving is pretty early! Oh well!

Usually Black Friday... but this year I put a few things up Sunday only because I used some stuff to do my kids Christmas photos and I was too lazy to put it away. I have Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas stuff all out.... hot mess
