Re: when do you find out
Are they going to do a growth sono? We had one last night and the baby is 2lbs 9oz. In the 56th percentile so I am thrilled since diabetics can have jumbo babies Oh I am 28 weeks tomorrow.

They didnt talk about a growth sono. They told me at my 26th week that the baby is also in the 56 percent tile. What that means...I didnt really know. So I guess I should assume since I am 27 weeks and you are 28 our babies are close in weight? Just my hunch!

Re: when do you find out
The 50th percentile would be average, so we are 6 % above average. Which is right in the middle(according to my OBGYN) I bet they do let you know at that appointment

Re: when do you find out
I haven't had a sono since my Level 2 (not counting the 3D sono I elected to have done out of pocket)
My OB will do a growth sono on me around 36 weeks to see how big the baby is and if he is breech or not... I think every doctor is different, it seems that a lot of ladies have had growth sono's before that point .. I'm so curious too!

Re: when do you find out
I just went to the doc today. I get a sono at every appointment and he measures the belly, the head, various limbs, etc. and tells me how much he weighs. at 27 weeks he was 2lbs 3 ozs and now at 30 weeks he was 4 lbs
I asked him about the "growth sono" and he said that I will not go to the hospital for one, since that is basically what he does in his office every visit. Every doc is different, though, so I would definately ask.

Re: when do you find out
Some doctors don't do the whole sono "weight estimate" thing because it can be so innacurate. My practice skips it all together and will only do more sonos if there appear to be problems or if you go past 40 weeks.
