When do babies start sleeping through the night?
My DD is 3 weeks old and even though she has a great nighttime schedule (up every 3 hours to eat then back to sleep) I cant wait to actually sleep more than 3 hours at a time....

My DD went to 5-6 hour stretches around 6 weeks, but didn't sleep through the night until 8 months. She now generally sleeps 11 hours at night.

DS started consistently sleeping through the night at around 8 months.

DD slept through the night at around 3 months, but then stopped at around 6 months. She didn't start again until a little over a year.

6 weeks she slept 8 - 6/7
at 3 months he started to sleep 8 - 5 with the occassional 6 or 7am. He's 4 months now and still not sleeping 10 hours consistently

DS started sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months old, but now at 3 1/2 months old... is now waking up again.

probably around 8 weeks but since then (he's 14 months old) we've had quite a few "phases" where he would work up in the middle of the night. he would always go back to sleep within 10 minutes but it would happen many times per night.

I must be the luckiest mom alive, because DS has always slept at least 5 hrs at night (as many as 6 1/2) and he is only 3 weeks

DS always slept 5-6 hour stretches from the day he came home from the hospital. ( I always say it was a benefit of having a 10lb baby) He probably started going 8 hours by 8 weeks and 10 hours by 10 weeks. But we have had phases here and there of waking up, whether its from a growth spurt, teething, a cold, learning to stand in his crib, etc.
It varies so greatly, I know someone who said her DS didnt sleep through for the first 2 years.

it happened gradually for us but by about 9 or 10 weeks he would occassionally sleep 8 or 9 hours straight and give me a little break. don't worry, it goes by faster than you think and you also get used to waking up a couple times a night.

He was/is such a good baby... from day one he would sleep 4 hours straight and then at about 3 months he started giving us 9 hours straight.

She was around 7 weeks old... sleeping from roughly 10pm til 5ish am.
