When did your DC start to color with crayons?
I bought crayons today and figured I would try them with Ryan... but I was curious to know when your DC started to color...

I bought Roman crayons around 15 months. He loved sitting down and coloring at first, now not so much, he just likes to carry them around which is dangerous for the walls

Noah started playing with Crayons at about 14 months, however he bit them and used them for drawing on the tile floor in the kitchen (thank goodness for magic sponges...)
I take them on planes because they can keep him busy for AGES. However I only let him use them when he is supervised.

Kerri is 15 months and just recently started using crayons....supervised though or in the mouth they go

Carlie is 20 months and has really just started taking an interest in coloring. She lovesit, but I must watch her or else she eats the crayons

I use the clear Crayola markers, she started at about 16 mos.

Before 18 months she would just hold them and carry them around and chew on them. Taking them away from her caused huge meltdowns. Then around 18 months she started to scribble in the coloring books with them. Now she colors every day.

15 months, mouthing was never an issue. I made it an activity that was done in his high chair or at the table- I also used washable crayons and Color WOnder markers. Aquadoodle is good too.

I started putting them out after he turned one, I don't think he "got it" until 15 months, and he stopped trying to eat them after 18 months....

Ava "colors" with them now. We sing the wheels on the bus and I help her to do the motions of the song (round and round, swish, swish, up and down, etc) on the paper. She caught on and does it herself now. Her favorite thing to do, though, is to take all the crayons out and carefully put them back in

I would say about 19-20 months is when she actually held them and used them on paper.

Around 15 months. But she doesn't stay on paper she will color tables, walls, you name it. I got her those color wonder markers and she loves them.

We started coloring at 16 months, we use regular crayons and the color wonders. She LOVES to color and put them back in the box.
