When did you start working on your nursery?

I am waiting until my level 2 in the beginning of July, then once I know the sex and the baby is doing great I can think about doing the room.

We don't have a nursery yet...we'll probably have to wait until after the baby is born and we have a house.

we are not painting until the baby is born since we dont know the sex. I just didnt want to settle, i want soemthing either really girly or really boyish so since the baby is going to be in our room for the first couple of weeks we will have time to paint

Same for us. We are in a 1 bedroom apt now. We are trying to sell it, and once we do, we will be buying a house. But that probably won't be until after the baby is born. If there is lag time between selling our apt and buying the house, we will stay with my parents. They are making a nursery for the baby, but haven't started it yet. (I'm 17 weeks) I'm excited for them to start it!

We will be starting right after my first trimester. We need to switch DS out of his room into another so we really have to get 2 rooms ready. So we need to start sooner rather then later.

I want to start painting and clearing it out now....we have stuff in it right now that really there is no need, we were using it as just a spare room to throw stuff in there that we never use...but I'm only 14 weeks and eveyone is telling me to calm downChat Icon

Re: When did you start working on your nursery?

We'll start clearing out the room after my first trimester (mid July), and begin framing the closets, removing the dryer, and choosing paint colors.

I'm thoroughly surprised that I haven't started cleaning the room out already! I'm totally the overly-ambitious type of person who is always over planning and over thinking everything. Chat Icon

The new baby will be in my 3rd bedroom which was my son's playroom. We will be doing his room too! Now I need to find him a big boy room, a nursery and room for toys.

Yeah, I should have done this. I'm 35 weeks, and still have to move DS out of the nursery and into his big boy room. I hope I make it Chat Icon

We are converting DD's playroom into DS's nursery now(at 25 weeks). The 4th bedroom which is an office turns into part playroom so we are doing 2 rooms at once as well. Thankfully the wood floors and wainscotting were done when we did DD's room, so no major construction for the nursery Chat Icon

Re: When did you start working on your nursery?

We painted the room when we moved last August with the hopes of a new friend. I think we'll move everything out and start setting up when we return from Jamaica in early August. I'll be 24-25 weeks at that point.
