When did you see/hear the heartbeat?
Well, I went to my RE this morning for routine blood work and told them I was having some pain on my right side. I haven't had my first sono yet (I'm 5w3d) and the PA just wanted to make sure it wasn't ectopic. She said it's still early to completely rule that out, but she wanted to see what was going on anyway. Well, it looks like there is ONE in there!!!  We had two embryos transferred back, but as of today, looks like one! I go back a week from Monday for my official first sonogram with my doctor.
Now, the PA didn't mention the heartbeat at all today (she didn't say "look at this" or "do you hear this"), just pointed out the yolk sac and the little "dot" inside  Is it normal not to hear/see anything this early on?

My first appt was at almost 9 weeks -we saw the hearbeat then and then heard it at my next appt (almost 13 weeks)

Saw it at 7w1d and heard it on the internal sono and by doppler at 12 weeks.

we saw the heartbeat at 6wks 2d.....i am sure when you go for your sono you will see it....it's a little flicker, but still absolutely amazing!

i had a sono at 5W5D and i thought i could just barely make out the HB (doctor said she could too)
when i went back at 8 weeks exactly, we saw and heard it "loud" and clear

My first appmt for a confirmation was 5 weeks exactly. They didn't see anything except some thickening. My next appointment was 8 weeks 2 days and we saw and heard a strong heart beat-177.

We did not see a heartbeat at 5 weeks. We saw it at 7 weeks and a few days and heard it at the ultrascreen around 11 weeks.

my first sono was at 8 weeks, so we were able to see the heartbeat...but the sono tech didnt play the heartbeat for us until my ultrascreen sono at 12w 5d.

saw it at six weeks on the sono. Only listened to it yesterday at 13 weeks 3 days.

That's funny, I was really feeling for you! But I'm sure you're thrilled!
Don't worry about not being able to hear the h/b yet. It's the most amazing thing to see that first time--just a little blinking pixel on a screen  and then when you DO hear it...it'll be music to your ears!!!
