When did you go grEy?
So I have jet black hair.
I do no tdye or highlight.
Between the dark color and not dying I noticed my first white hair RIGHT AWAY @ about 24/25...
Now at 28 I have about 4 or 5 of them--that I cut 
I am wondering if over the next cple years my head will slowly go all grey and I will have to dye...
When did you get a lot of grey hair?

I don't know... I'm 34 and no gray hairs... YET. But, I have friends who are in my age range who are regularly dying their hair to cover up the grey.

You know what is funny? I never dye my hair b/c my mother and sister went grey young (25ish) so I figured I had MANY years of dyeing ahead of me.
I am 27 now and no grey!

I'm about to turn 31 and I think Ive had 1 grey hair.
Which is weird because my mom had tons of greys by her 30's.

I have been grey since my early 20's (im now 36) and I have mostly tried to dye my hair lighter cause the grey will blend better but now I have more grey and darker hair....once you see a few then over the years you will probably see more but mine slowly grew in #s...its just been the past few years that it has been really bad.

Me too. I used to dye occasiocanally out of boredom, but I stopped beacuse my mom had been dyeing her hair as long as I could remember (her early 30s) & my brother started going gray in college & is about 80% gray now at 36. I figurd I'd enjoy not dyeing for a few years, but I am 33 & no gray yet.

I just turned 38. I noticed a few random grays when I was 35, not long after my daughter was born. I still havea a few strays, not too many new ones in that time. But in March when I get my hair cut I am going to get highlights- my hair is dark blonde and they grays aren't that noticable but I need a little something to brighten me up anyway.

I had my first grey hair at 7 
DS has one already and he's only 17 months! The barber cut it off the other day 
I only have a few, I dye my hair for the color, not to cover up greys. I doubt anyone would notice unless I pointed them out - heck, I don't even know where they are.

I went grey at around 21/22.... i had delaying hair dying for as long as i could, but craked about 2 years ago... down hill ever since!

I have really dark hair and am worried about this too! I am 26 and have had a FEW stragglers over the past 5 years or so....and they are noticeable! Maybe only 5 total though. My mom started going grey really young also so I have never dyed. Hoping to hold out as long as I can!!

um...like 17 or so...my mom went grey early now at 34 i have to dye my hair every 4 weeks, should be done every two weeks though!

I just posted the same thing few weeks ago, I have the exact same problem as you, very dark, jet black hair, I don't color it and I have just 4-5 strands  It's so annoying

40 and I do not dye my hair. I have a couple in there but not noticeable.
People in my family get grey hair later. Closer to late 40's.

I'm 32 and have had grays since I was 24. By around 28 or so I had quite a bit! Now I touch up my roots once a month at home.

i am 25 and have found one white hair in the past couple of years.
my DH turns 26 on Sunday and has some - I pluck them for him. Usually 15 or so at a time.
A girl I went to HS with started going VERY grey in 10th grade and has been dyeing since.

I got my first one on the younger side. I think I was 24. I had only 2 or 3 until well into my 30s! I am 41 and only very recently do I notice a lot of gray in my roots. I still have more of my natural color than I do of grays but my grays would be showing a lot now if I did not color my hair. When I started to color my hair at about 29 it was more to brighten the color than to cover gray.

At the end of my PG with DD this summer I had 8 grey hairs. I am 32. I am dreading the day when I have to dye my hair. So far I just cut them.
