When did you child use fluoride toothpaste?

When did you child use fluoride toothpaste?
DS is 3.5 and uses the non-fluoride (swallowable) toothpaste. Tried to switch him over to a Crest one for kids but he just gags. Is he just to young? Any reccos on another brand to try?

3 after the dentist said to.
We do use crest for kids. She doesn't love it but but deals lol. When this tube it done I want to try a different brand.

My 3 1/2 year old uses it and the dentist just said my 2 year old should also be using it.
