what's your policy on drinking while TTC?
There's a work outing after work today and everyone knows me as a drinker lol....so what do you do in these situations? I don't have a BFP yet but I really feel like this is it this month....should I order an Odouls in a glass? Rum & coke, hold the rum?! lol I don't want to out myself but I don't want to mess around if it turns out I'm pregnant either!

drink... until you get the BFP don't worry. I am quite sure it can't even hurt the baby that early... i thought you don't even share a blood stream until 6 weeks.

I don't like to risk it, so if you are the type of person that would fret about it- I'd order a coke at the bar and then if anyone asked claim it was rum and coke. You can't tell the difference... but at the same time, you are not officially POAS pregnant yet so it probably won't even be an issue at all. Especially if it is one drink.

thanks! I was worried b/c last time when I was pregnant I had drank before I miscarried, I'm not saying it had anything to do with it, but I did drink before I knew I was pregnant and went through all of these horrible "what if" scenarios in my head after the miscarriage! If I have a drink I'll just ask the bartender to make it heavy on the coke, light on the rum lol

I take the same approach. Until I see a BFP, I carry on with my normal, everyday routine. And that includes drinking

I agree. Actually I had three glasses of wine the night before I got my BFP! Of course I was freaking out the next morning, lol.

Don't change anything until you are prego ( unless u use drugs) until u get a bfp u don't share blood or anything until 6 weeks. Enjoy ur rum and coke!!

ITA... not a big drinke so when the opportunity comes up when we go out, drinking isn't something I stress over.

I do not drink on a regular basis, but if we have a party and I am in my 2WW I will drink. I figure it is safe until I get a BFP.

I know so many people with healthy babies who got rip roaring drunk between conceiving and the BFP, including my mom with me, and I was her only successful pregnancy. So I say I am drinking until the BFP!!!

I downed an entire bottle of wine two days before my BFP. I also miscarried. However my friend who is now 7 1/2 months pregnant also downed probably an entire bottle of vodka a few days before she got her BFP. I'm sure it's fine

 I had like 3 rum & cokes last night, it was company sponsored event, free booze! DH is none too pleased with me today lol (even though 3 rum & cokes is nothing for me usually, god that makes me sound like an alcoholic!

I still have a drink-i was actually discussing this w/ a friend yesterday. I didn't tell her that we were TTC YET; but i said we would be soon. She was like how i should stop all alcohol consumption. but i don't feel the same way.

I was off of the pill for only one month before I got pregnant. We went to Turks and Caicos on vacation and I drank rum punch day and night. I assumed it would take longer to happen so I was carefree! When I found out I was I was a wreck. Dr. said it was totally fine that early on!!! Cheers!
