Re: What would you do if you were me?
well it sounds like they took the first step to end the feud!!! apologizing, letting you know about the noise and going as far to invite you to their party- they didnt have to do that.
Letting them use your balcony is the right thing to do. Only the movers need to be in your home NOT the neighbors.
whats that saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

- i think it was big of him to apologize
-he was only inviting you to be polite, im sure he doesnt really want you there, its only the proper thing to do
-i wouldnt let them use your balcony. you can get around that quite easily by pretending not to be home
i was originally going to say that it would be kind and neighborly letting tehm use the balcony, since YOU had to do it as well and you know the stress that comes along with it... BUT then i thought to myself, i would not let my neighbor in my apartment
only question is - if she's not home and they need to use the balcony - they may just call the landlord to get the master key

I'd make sure that I wasn't home during that time so it wouldn't be an issue.
agree, but do they have access to a key to your place?? like a landlord, you dont want them to get in with out you home either.

i believe that would be illegal. landlords can only legally enter if they think there is a danger, like a gas leak or something. im pretty sure.

Re: What would you do if you were me?
ok the bottom line is this
whether it's right or whether it's wrong
whether or not you want them in your apartment
the fact is, if they need to go through your apartment to have their furniture delivered - you're going to have to let them do it
you may not like it - but that's the way it is
what's the alternative - you say no and they can't get their furniture delivered? - if you think it was bad before, try pulling that
and if you pull the stunt where you are not home for the delivery, they'll just look to schedule a time when you are sure to be home.
I say, if it comes to it, just do it, get it over with, and make sure you are home
and look to leave ASAP - if you can't afford a house right now - surely there are other options available

I am pretty sure your landlord must give you 24 hours notice if they need to go into your home.
