Is this a hypothetical question? If this really happened, I would tell them to call me at home when its fixed b/c there is no way I could stand that, I go to the bathroom like 2x an hour!

Yes, this really happened to my building in December during that snow/rain storm. We got an email today that it is going to happen again next week Wed-Thurs-Fri.

Most people were complaining about it today at work, but the management says there is nothing they can do about it.

I am thinking about calling OSHA. This violates their sanitation regulations. I took pictures last time for proof also Chat Icon But honestly, I am scared of getting in trouble if I call OSHA.

can you call anonimously?

I'm sure you can, but I think you should call the Health Department... that's just gross...

I thought you said something about this before - it sounded so familiar. I would call, it doesn't hurt to call and find out if they can do this.

Re: What would you do if....

IMO, not that is should have happened, but you can be a little more forgiving during a big snowstorm, hurricane, etc... but just sometime next week is unacceptable... I'd call the health dept...Chat Icon

I think so.. but there are other things I want to complain about also. For example, the mold we have in one of the vents in our room. Also, our doors are operated scanning a card to open them and sometimes the system malfunctions and we are locked inside the building.
I have complained to the Safety guy here at work numerous times before on behalf of all my coworkers (because they are too scared to speak up) so I think they will know it was meChat Icon

Oh, I forgot to mention that I work in a lab and we will be without our eyewash station and emergency shower.
Not that I ever use them, but this is also against OSHA's regulations.

Yes it is! health code violations for sure....
