What would you do?

What would you do?

I'm frustrated as all hell. I went off the pill in January. Started really trying, trying, maybe in July.

With my first, I got pregnant in my second month off the pill. Miscarried, and then a week later I was pregnant again.

I'm really starting to get a gut instinct that there's something off, or something wrong.

So, the question is, do I make an appointment with my ob/gyn, or do I go straight to the RE that was referred to me? Keep in mind, my ob/gyn just switched to a new hospital that's in the ghetto and I'm seriously considering finding a new ob/gyn because I just can't see myself giving birth there. So, I'm tempted to go straight to the RE, who is in my area, and if she's good, and I DO get pregnant, to get a referral to a good ob/gyn in my area from her.

I'm torn, but I want to act now. No more waiting. So, what would you do?

Follow your gut and call the RE. What is the worst that could happen? They could tell you that you are fine? Waste a copay? Go!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks. I think I'm going to make that call today. I know inside myself what I need to do but DH keeps telling me I'm being paranoid, that we've only been really trying for a few months, and that I should just go see my ob/gyn if I'm really worried. But, he doesn't have that womanly instinct that I have, and that counts for a whole hell of a lot Chat Icon

Re: What would you do?

If you feel more comfortable going to the RE, go there! For me though, I would probably wait it out until the end of the year & then if nothing, go. You already had one successful pregnancy, so I would not think that anything would be wrong. Sometimes they say that it takes a lot longer to get PG with #2...

Good luck though Chat Icon
