What will be your baby's/babies' middle name(s) and why?

The middle name we have picked for our is Mary because of a few reasons:

1. It's my mother's name
2. It was my DH's mother's name (she is deceased)
3. It is my middle name
4. I have been lighting a candle (almost) every day to Our Lady since I did my 5th and last IVF cycle.

Very sweet . We chose "new" first names for our boys and sentimental middle names.

DS1 is Paul - DH's Uncle Paul passed away when I was pregnant and he was my favorite IL. DH's grandfather was also Paul.

DS2 is Joseph - Joseph is my brother's name, my Dad and Grandfather's middle name, DH's grandfather's middle name.

Our middle name will be Anthony. That is DH's name and my FIL is Antonio and my grandmother is Antonia but called Annette for short. So it is for all of them.

I cringe a little at the name because I dont like it but it is VERY sentimental to me and that more than makes up for it.

Its going to be Wendall

That was my late grandfather (who practically raised me) and is my fathers middle name.

My dd's middle name is after my dh's grandmother that passed away shortly before she was born her middle name is Violet

Our DS's first name will be Anthony after my DH's father (deceased) and his middle name will be William after my dad.

Somewhat coincidentally, my two brothers are also named Anthony and William, but that's not the reason for the names. The baby's Godfather is my brother Anthony AND I have an Uncle Anthony who is so happy we chose Anthony, but it is important to me for people to realize that the prime reason is my husband's late father. It means a lot to him that Anthony will be our son's name.

Same middle name and pretty much the same reasons. One year ago today we were told we had "very little chance of conceiving naturally" and that we should "just go to IVF" because DH's numbers were not good. Anyway, my DH refused to accept that and we got other opinions which said the same thing. Well, our little girl is DEF. a gift from God bc we conceived naturally and it was a total surprise! Forget the dr.'s with their "almost no chance"....if God wants to give you a gift...he will when it's right.

Middle name we are sure will be Kenneth after DH's father, we haven't told his dad yet so he will be psyched about it!

Rose in honor of St. Therese. When your prayers are heard she sends you a shower of roses. So roses have always been a special sign for me.

If we have a boy, middle name will be the same as DH's middle name. We chose a very "old" name for a boy and the middle name is more contemporary so to speak.

We have chosen a middle name for a girl as well, but it was more just a matter of chosing something that flowed with the "old" name that we chose.

We are not very tight with our families nor do we come from large families. So we really had no place to look in our families for names. Sometimes I wish there was more sentiment behind the names, but we love our choices.

DS#2-Allan after my Dad

DD#1's middle name is my maiden name, Holley

DD#2's middle name will be June, after DH's late grandmother. (The first initial J also honors my late Grandmother)

We use middle name to honor family-doesn't matter if we like the name or not.

DD's middle name is Marguerite, after mom my and grandmother.

DS's middle name is Walter, after DH's dad.

If this one is a girl, the middle name will be Barbara, after DH's mom. If it is a boy it will be William after my grandfather (unless we use William as a first name) or Christopher after DH.

If we have a girl her middle name will be Kathleen after my MIL. She passed away when DH was 14 and all his siblings first born daughter has her name for either a middle name (his two brothers girls) or a first name (his only sister's daughter). For a boy we're looking for something with a C because baby's first name will be Gennaro and if we do a C middle name LO will have the same initials as DH.

My Dad's name as Middle although now DH wants HIS NAME as middle

MIL's name as middle

My grandmothers first name will be babys middle name. She passed away soon after DH and I got engaged, and she was so looking foward to being a great grandmother

If it's a girl, it will be Barbara after my Godmother/Aunt who is just an amazing person and I hope that giving DD that name will instill a little of my aunt's extraordinary qualities in her.

If it's a girl Rae for my Great Grandmother (dec) - it's kind of a family tradition on my side to name your first after her, she was such an amazing woman. Her real name was Eva Ruth, but everyone knew her as Ray - so we have my Cousin Ray (boy) and other Cousin Rachel. I was a "new" first name, so that's why it's going to be a middle name.

For a boy - DH and I can agree at all on a name!!! All he wants is the first name to be Jay or Jason (his name). Well I'm Jewish and that's just not going to fly! I want the middle name to be Jay - for me it represents my sister Jackie who passed away, but can also possibly appease DH by getting his name in there.
