What to sleep in at hospital?
So I'm doing my bag this week and this is the only item I'm clueless on. I know I need something simple since I will be checked on while I'm there but I have no idea where to go or how many I should get.
I plan on nursing if that helps.
TIA

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I bought 2 PJs from Destination Maternity. Both were nursing, 1 is a cami top w/bottoms and the other is a night gown. I didnt want the gown but the sales woman suggested I get it in case I end up w/a C section.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I'm not packing anything- I plan on using the hospital gowns they provide. If you want to bring something, I suggest it is a loose gown and something you don't care if it gets dirty and stained and gross.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I was there two nights when I had DS. I stayed in the hospital gown the first night and my MIL had gotten me this pajama set with shorts and I wore that the second night.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I am probably going to buy one pj and one gown. For me it made a difference when I was in my own pjs. I wore the hospital gown the first night, but I could not wait to put on my own pjs.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I brought 2 sets of cheap pjs from Walmart. They had very strechy waste bands and were cotton. Just something very comfy.
I personally didnt wanna stay in the hospital gown. So as soon as I was given the ok to get up and shower, the gown was gone.

What to sleep in at hospital?
i wore sweat pants and tshirts and tank tops. I had a hoody in case i was cold (i gave birth in the winter both times). i was comfortable in that. I think i changed within a few hours of leaving delievry and getting to my room. I also had nursing bras. (I have big boobies, and am incredibly uncomfortable without a bra).

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I stayed in the gown the first night. You will bleed A LOT and it is much easier to manage, IMO, without pants on. Then again I didn't have a very routine birth experience, lol. Whatever you do, make sure it's something you can wear if you're like 6+mos pregnant, because your belly will still be about that size. Oh and go cheap.

What to sleep in at hospital?
I was in my gown the first night I was so exhausted and didny even think about changing. The next day I showered and wore sweats during the day, I ended up sleeping in them bc I was too lazy to change lol. I definitely suggest bringing a pair of pj pants or whatever pants you will be comfy in

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I stayed int he gown the first night and then was in either yaga pants or PJ bottoms.
I had a c section and it was easy to check my incision. I wasn't bleeding that bad so i was comfy in pants.
Also my hospital was super hot so I had on tanks and had a hoodie jsut in case but never used it. I was inthat hospital in Oct and then again for the birth in Dec and both times it was crazy hot.
Be prepared - I know eachhosptial is different but I would have been miserable if I had only brought warm clothes.
Also, DH brought me things each day if I needed it and took home my dirty clothes.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I stayed in my gown my entire stay although I had packed clothes. I was just in too much pain the thought of pulling up and down pants to use the bathroom was too much for me to handle lol.
also, it was easy for nursing with the gown and my room was hot. as. balls. and the items I packed seemed too warm.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
The first night I slept in the hospital gown. Once I showered and changed, I put on a great nursing nightgown thing from pea in the pod - enough coverage up top to feel comfortable in front of visitors, but easy access for nursing.
i'm usually more of a pants and shirt girl, but it was SO much easier to wear the nightgown/dress thing with everything going on down there after delivery.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I packed high waisted sweats and yoga pants, with nursing tanks. It honestly felt so good to finally shower and get into my own clothes.
I'm not sure I would have felt comfortable with visitors while I was still in just a hospital gown. Especially since I tried to be up and walking as much as possible.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
1st night, their gown. All other nights I wore lounge pants from Old Navy and a nursing tank, plus a cardigan if I got cold, although that wasn't often LOL

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I wore a hospital gown the first night, I delivered at 10pm. In the morning I showered and put on lounge pants from old navy, they had a very stretchy elastic waist and a nursing tank with a vneck tshirt over it. I wore that same thing to bed that night. Changed into leggings and a tunic top the next day to go home.

Re: What to sleep in at hospital?
I brought a pair of loose pajama bottoms (target), a nursing tank (also target), comfy slipper socks, and a light robe (also target...on clearance baby!).
ETA...I also slept in their gown the first 2 nights...
