What to do?? Doctor related....

So, for this pregnancy I wound up switching doctors so it is closer to home and more convenient. But, there are other things with this new office that is not so convenient. I don't know which is better..??

Old Doc
Pros:
- like the docs & hospital they use
- they have my medical records & been going there many years
- no co-pays (even for sonos)
- bloodwork done in office

Cons:
- out of the way (35 minutes)

New Doc
Pros:
- three locations between work and home

Cons:
- have to pay co-pay ($30) for every sono
- have to go to lab for bloodwork

What would you do?????

Re: What to do?? Doctor related....

personally if i liked the old dr i'd stay there.

my dr is on li and i live in queens. it's like 25 mins no traffic. it works fine for me.

id much rather prefer to be with a dr who i like and i'm comfortable with then to just to go another dr for convenience.

but that's me.

personally I agree with pp. If you love ur old Dr then stay there. If its not broken don't fix it. I live over an hour from my specialist and 45 mins from my Ob and hospital. AND my old Ob was over 35 minutes from me and 40 mins or so to the hospital and I made the trip there too. I feel like it is so hard these days to find someone you really trust and feel comfortable with that you have to suck it up sometimes and make the travel there. JMO

Out of the way is not a big enough con for me to change drs. I would stick with the first dr.
