WWYD? Doctor related
I posted earlier that DD started whole milk last week and I have noticed some patchiness (rash like) on her face. BM are normal and NOTHING else has changed. She has had whole milk yogurt and cheese for months and NO problems AT ALL. Spoke to the pediatrician today and she said it's most likely NOT a milk allergy (which is what I thought too). She said it could be something else irritating her (even though I don't think anything I've given her lately had anything "new"). She told me to rule out an allergy, to stop giving milk, and go back on the formula for a week. Reintroduce milk, and see if anything happens. The more I look at her face, the more I'm thinking it looks like VERY dry skin (eczema patches) that probably just happened to show up around the same time. I really don't want to stop milk because she's FINALLY drinking it after a week of fighting me. Should I give it another day and treat her face as eczema (and use the hydrocordizone like I have in the past for eczema on her arms) and see if there is improvement before stopping milk all together? WWYD?

I hope she feels better soon - I'd just put aquaphor on her face. I was told not to use hydrocortizone on the face.

Is the dry skin on the face severe? I probably wouldn't use it on her face either unless you get the 1/2% hydrocortisone. Or maybe see a dermatologist?

We were told only aquaphor too for DD's eczema.

I will try the aquaphor. The hydrocortizone is the 1/2 % and my ped said I could use a little on her face. Did the aquaphor help your DC's eczema?

I used Aquaphor on my DDs eczema (on her arms and legs) and it did not help. I hope it works for you on your DS's face.
