3pm at least.
We left at 4 last year to go to Ac/DC and missed part of the show be it took us over 4 hours!!!!!! to get there.

 good thinking! but i would say as early as possible, and if you get to the area really early, head to a restaurant and kill time nearby. We went to NJ on a Friday at like 12, and it took us almost 3 hrs to do a drive that usually takes about an hour.

Don't know, but I assume you are going to see Bon Jovi on Friday? I'll be there too but I am coming from Jersey. Hope the ride isn't too bad for you!

I just found out I am going to Bon Jovi
I saw them in May and it took us 1 1/2 -2 hrs from Queens and that was a Thursday night. I am thinking of leaving by 4-4:30, plenty of time to get there to see Kid Rock open up.

The concert was a good idea at the time we bought the tickets. NOW..not so much

we left at 2:30 for the concert last month and were there by 5. We plan on leaving around 2-2:30 this time as well. By the time you get there though, finding a place to park will be hell!

I feel the same way! It was my Mother's Day present. I joked around withDH saying we should sell them half joking, but he didn't bite and I felt bad so I didn't push it.
It's our first kid-free night in almost 3 months and now I just wish we were going out to dinner! 
I think we are going to leave here at 2pm, drop the kids off in Queens and leave there n later than 3pm.

We took it last time and it was so stress free.

I know I will have a good time once I'm there...just not looking forward to the commute.
I was thinking about taking the LIRR...but nobody else is up for it. And since I'm not driving I can't really complain. BUT I know I will

We went to bon jovi in may on the sat night of memorial day weekend, we left at 4 and got there by 6:30. We live in great neck so we went through the city which was the longest part since one tunnel of the lincoln tunnel was closed so traffic was all backed up. Parking wasn't actually so bad there, they direct you to a lot and we found a spot right away. Bon jovi didn't come on till 9 though so if you don't like the opening act, you have a lot more time to get there before the show starts. Getting home was also a lot easier than I thought, much quicker.

I did this in May- bought the round trip tix from Ronk. and it worked out great(return trip was packed but hardly any waiting around).
Have fun! wish I was going again!

Ur going to Bon Jovi... i would leave as early as you can and Tailgate!!!!!!! the Bon Jovi fans are crazy tailgaters. I went to his concert in May and wished i would have gotten there earlier.
Leave at 3 at the absolute latest! you have to remember it is a friday so there will be lots of traffic!
