What time does your mail come?

Ours has been coming later and later and later... and today we got a Christmas card from the mailman... I'm sorry but if you can't deliver our mail during daylight hours, I can't feel obligated to tip you... I feel a little bad, but cmon...

Maybe I'm totally out of line.

ETA: Wow... I'm really jealous... our mail comes at 6 pm lately. It had been coming at 4:30, but it keeps getting later and later and today that package hit the door at 6 (and I went to check it at 5:30 and it was empty). That 30-foot trek to the mailbox is the highlight of this very pregnant lady's day right now, too! I get all bundled up and waddle out there excited... then... nothing.

2nd edit... I wouldn't not tip just because it comes late. I was just curious if mine's abnormally late (which apparently it is). I'm somewhat disturbed by the number of times he has actually THROWN packages from the street up onto our porch. I realize our cars are parked in the driveway and you have to walk up the driveway (about 15 feet) to get to the porch, but how does he know those packages aren't fragile? Sometimes I find them in the bushes or on the steps, like they fell. On Thursday, I really did hear the package HIT the door as he threw it. Somehow that seems a little wrong to me.

Ours come at around 3.. I saw him today since I was home... Hes such an old man and always looks depressed.. I feel bad for him... I wished him happy thanksgiving last month and he did like a double take and it seemed like he doesnt get many well wishes from people

Ours comes super late-- anywhere b/t 3 45 and 5 30! The time varies, which I think is weird.

Ours comes between 12:30 and 1:30.

I know another section of our development gets their mail at 4:00-4:30 more or less every day since I see the mailman on my run after work. Unfortunately, someone in each route has to get their mail later in the day.

If we have the regular guy we get our mail between 2-3. If we have anyone else, we get our mail at noon. There have been many times I have seen the mail truck sitting on the street before mine and no mail man in sight. He does not live on the street before mine but a single woman does...

Ours is usually right around 10:30.

Usually around 3-3:30, but its been later the past few weeks. We had a package delivered after 8pm last week, I don't have any clue of the actual time - all I know is that DH came home around 8 and it wasn't there, but when he left for work the next morning it was.

I feel spoiled but our former female mail carrier was AWESOME. She would do "power walks" and my mail would be delivered before 12pm.

Now we have mucle guy mail carrier and my mail is not delivered until 1:30pm. Sometimes I don't even get the mail on the eve of a Holiday.

Usually around noon, almost like clockwork each day. It's really nice, especially because when I was a kid we didn't get our mail until like 5:30 pm.

considering it's the holiday season and they have more and more mail and packages to deliver, i can understand why mail is coming later and later.

i come from a family of mail carriers. they deliver mail ALL DAY. your home is probably near the end of their route. if it bothers you to get mail so late, you can call the post office branch and see if anything can be done about it. it's not that they're sitting in their trucks doing nothing, they're delivering other people's mail during "daylight hours".

my mail used to be here by 10 am. it now comes around 4-5pm. i assume they changed the route. it doesn't bother me because my mail still comes.

it all depends on your location.

It's not the mail carriers fault that the mail comes later and later...it depends on their route and where they're assigned. Sometimes my mail comes at noon, other times at 5.

It's not something I would ever be mad at as long as I got the mail. Who cares if it is there earlier or later? It really makes no difference...no reason to not tip someone..

usually 11-12ish some days if it's not our normal idiot mail man it comes around 12-1 but NEVER past 1:30pm

average delivery time is 10 a.m.

I live about one block away from the post office and I don't get my mail until 3:30 the earliest
