What time does your DC stay up until on NYE?
DS is 5 years old. Just curious what everyone else does on NYE with their kids. I don't think he'll make it to the ball drop.

We always let DS stay up with us - he is 4 this year. We are also home on NYE.
He has never made it to midnight and he probably won't make it this year either since he just got the flu shot on Monday and is feeling pretty blah today.

What time does your DC stay up until on NYE?
My DD is not a night owl - even when we try to let her stay up late she crashes. Everyone here is sick so she'll be in bed early. I think she made it to 9pm last year and was a wreck the next day!

hahaha last year it was just DS and I cause I was preggo and sick and DH was working. I put on a movie, put DS in bed with me and fell asleep. He woke me up when the movie was over and it was 15 minutes to ball drop! LOL

Last year DS was 4 and he made it till midnight. He also napped.
So if he naps today, we will allow him to stay up till midnight.

My kids are 9, 7, and 4 and have never seen midnight on New Year. We're always at home, and frankly, my patience for children expires somewhere around 9pm  Also, nothing is going to stop me from my Twilight Zone marathon! This year, however, I am planning on waking them up to watch the ball drop...they're beyond excited!

We are having a few friends over tonight, I plan on putting the boys to bed at their usual 8:00 bedtime, friends are coming between 8:30-9.

She only napped for an hr today so i double she'd make it past 9. We arent doing anything tonight either so theres no reason for her to up late as it is

Our kids are 5.5 and 4.5.
We usually just put them to bed at their regular bed time and call it a night for them. We're doing the same this year, but we're waking them up 15 minutes before the ball drops so they can watch and celebrate with us. I'm sure I'll be waking up my DH on the couch as he never usually makes it to midnight either. haha
Our kids are really good about being woken up and then falling back to sleep again...so we're not really worried about the possibility of repercussions from waking them. They're really excited about it.

DD has made it to midnight every year! It's pretty amazing. But we were always out. She's 3.5. I'm not sure about this year. We'll be home, so I'm thinking she might not make it..

She's been going to my buddy's house now three years (with this year's) so way past midnight. My kid is a night owl! I never forced a schedule on her so she's flexible!

Depends on what we do. He's always up until 12, so can be anytime after that. I think last year was like 2 or 2:30.

She stays up with me as late as she wants.
ETS: aaaaaaaand she was asleep by 7:30 p.m. Some New Year's Eve date she turned out to be.

DD has been asleep for almost an hour already. We likely won't make it much passed 10pm. When the fireworks start at midnight, we will all wake up, curse the people who are setting them off quietly as DD screams bloody murder, we will all kiss, say Happy New Year, and if everything goes according to plan we will all be back asleep by 12:20.

Update over here as well - DS made it to 1030...I made it to now - heading to bed. DD will be up before 6 am and DH never seems to hear her - like NEVER! Happy New Year everyone!
