That's exactly what we're worried about... We have a 26" right now, but it's about as old as we are and we're ready for a new on and we want a flat panel... We're not sure if anything smaller than 26" would be too small but we're not sure if 26" would be too big.

We just got a 26" flat panel - its perfect.
DH wanted at 32" but i felt like it would be too overwhelming, and after we got the 26" he agrees that the size we got was just right (although, i know he secretly wants the bigger one still.. just because)

We just put in a 37" flat screen. 
I always said no TV in the bedroom but with a toddler and a baby on the way I need a place to snooze where DD can chill if she has to.

32 inch flat panel HDTV (720P) Toshiba
its mounted on the wall, and although I originally thought it would be too big, it actually is the perfect size. (I hated admitting that to dh  )
