What should have been a DH Vent has turned into eeeewwwww grossssss
I dont want to get into the whole vent thing...lets leave it at when all was said and done there were three cans of exploded root beer on my kitchen floor so this is where it gets gross. I hand DH the mop since I am not supposed to be cleaning and he tells me to go in the bathroom and put soap in the toilet   since I realize he plans on washing my kitchen floor with soapy toilet water. On top of that he tells me that is how his mother always cleaned the floors and he didnt see anything wrong with it. Even if I could buy into the argument that toilet water is as clean as the kitchen sink water, the fact remains that I dont "do my business in the kitchen sink" NOR am I dripping soapy toilet water all over the carpet transfering the wet mop to the kitchen floor
Is it me? Am I the crazy one? Or does everyone else wash their floors using the toilet?

That is insane!!! I am sorry but that is gross. I use the water from my sink or the swiffer wet jet.

Honey, get a Swiffer and you'll never have to worry again!  That is gross. I can see filling up a bucket from the bathtub but the toilet? Ewwwwwwwwww.

I remember my mom doing that when I was younger, but I think she got with the times and got a bucket. On her defense, she did it AFTER cleaning the toilet and that mop head was bleached!!!
I can't imagine doing it though.

OMG!!!!!
NO, I've honestly NEVER heard of anyone doing that. That would have been a nitemare for me!
It's so simple to get a bucket. I'm sorry you had to go thru this........lol

I would have hit DH with the mop if he did/thought to do that. I have NEVER heard of that.

My mother used the clean toilet water for years to clean the floors.. I never ate off the floors but still..

Never heard of that. Yuck.
I always used a bucket filled with warm soapy water and a mop. That's how my mom did it, and how I will continue to do it.
I would use the swiffer wet-jet for quick jobs, but good cleanings still require a mop and a bucket.

i can see the logic i guess - and if you bleach your toilet bowl and it's clean before you do it maybe its not that bad - i guess it could make sense?? maybe thats how they did things back in the day??.....but why not just invest in a bucket LMAO....
personally could never do that.....def funny stuff
