What 'rewards' did you give DC for going on potty
DD is 26mos,I wasn't really planning on potty training her just yet, but she's been going pee on the potty at daycare, and will occasionally go at home. Last night she did poop and was so proud.
I made a big deal and praised her tons and got a few m&m's as a "reward" or treat.
What other things did you give for going on the potty?
And, does this mean she's fully ready to train? I think I'm the one who's not ready

What 'rewards' did you give DC for going on potty
since stickers is it out, how about the piggy bank potty:
use quarters (or whatever change you have handy) and hand her the quarter and then have her put it right into her piggy bank. Toss some coins in to start so it rattles quite nicely and she enjoys putting it into the slot.
And then take her to the store to buy a potty present with the money!

What 'rewards' did you give DC for going on potty
I did a sticker chart for DS - he gets a sticker for each time he goes pee and every 10 or so stickers, he got a little something from the dollar store. I phased this out after the first couple of weeks to just a sticker since he got the hang of it quickly.
Since poop has been an issue, I've been giving him a little soemthing from the dollar store each time he goes (which hasn't been daily and hasn't always been on the potty KWIM...)

I did stickers on a chart. When she went on the potty 5 times then she got a treat, pack of m&m's.

at first, m&ms but now he is really into marshmellows  so he gets them now.
he is solid with pee on the potty so I dont rewards for that anymore. only #2

We wanted to stay away from food as a reward.. he is soooo into cars.. so we bought a TON of $1 or $2 matchbox cars...

I give one m&m for pee.
Dd really doesn't look for reinforcement anymore I just reinforce her if she asks to go bc that is our issue now.
I told her if she goes poop on the potty (she is very resistant) I would buy her a Minnie ball for outside.

I am doing a potty sticker chart for the twins. Every 5 stickers they get, They will get a piece of cake or a dessert of their choice, something i normally don't give them and that they love to eat occassionally. we've been doing this for a few weeks now and DD only has 4 stickers and DS only has 2. They will sit on their potties for 20 minutes and do nothing. As soon as i take them off, they go pee or poo in their diaper  But they get SO excited when they go on their potties and ask to sit on the potty all the time. i;m guessing they aren't 100% ready, but we're still trying!

DD didnt care about stickers before potty training either.
I her a little notebook and explained that each time she went pee she would get one, poop she would get two. At first she was like ok wahtever. But I made a big deal and would RUN to get her book and put the stickers in, I would say in about two days she "got it" and then became sticker obsessed. I only had to do it for a few weeks and then we both forgot about hte stickers and she was fully trained LOL

One sticker for pee, two stickers for #2 and every 10 got a matchbox car...he was trained in no time!

1 mini m&m for pee
2 mini m&m for poop
3 mini m&m for staying dry all night.
I did minis because she was peeing so many times a day that I though she was eating way too many!
I did m&m's because my dd could care less about stickers or little toys.

We avoided food as rewards, so we did a sticker chart. Every 10th square on the chart had a star in it, which meant he got a prize. We stocked up on inexpensive, but really exciting and motivating toys. We hung the chart on the wall right next to the potty, and allowed him to choose his sticker each time and stick it on the chart. I made the charts on the computer and I put little pictures of his fave characters at the top of the chart.

For me it was stickers for poop occasionally or praise. Otherwise high five and high praise.. I mean it was like she won the lottery, grab the press! Hey Daddy! come here... LOOK what she did OMG you went poop.. no way, really? WOW! great job
I mean we seriously layed it on thick. I am against food treats in general and I dont like the idea of conning her with foods. So I don't.
If I didn't have a sticker then she didn't get a thing other than praise. I made sure she knew that the sticker was not FOR going poo or pee.. the sticker was just a nice bonus now and then. My aunt would give her a marshmallow and sure enough AJ would 'pretend' to poop to get a treat and cry when she didn't get one.. big mess. I caught wind of it and squished that idea from then on. She gets praise and nothing more.. if you have a sticker .. fine but not routinely.
It only took a week or so to get off that whole crazy train. Now its more "if you tell me you need to go on your own you won't have an accident will you?" and I thank her every time she tells me she needs to go before its a hurried affair. She HATES accidents, so it helps.
I figure if youre going to give them something, just be sure its small enough of a thing that its special without being a BIG thing they'll expect forever for pooping, lay on the praise as the FIRST prize, biggest prize and everything else is just gravy.
Oh and I reminded her all day long how proud I was that she did it on the potty.. just randomly "AJ... come here for a sec.. look at my eyes.. You know what? (what) Im just so proud of you going potty on the toilet, you're such a big girl! Thank you so much sweetie. High Five!" and so forth.

M&Ms, gummy bears ( we try to limit these type of gummy snacks so it was a huge motivator) and trains for poop
