What LI/or restaurants in general do you hate?
Someone posted on another thread about Cheesecake Factory. I know this is not a place specific to LI, but everytime I've gone there I've been so sick afterwards. I think it's the processed food they use.

I used to LOVE Boulder Creek! However, I have gotten so sick after eating there the last two times I will never go back.
I am going to be alone with this one- Cioa Baby. Everyone I know raves about it. DH who eats anything, hated the food and it was just too loud, too pricey for what it was and not at all tasty!

Cheesecake Factory is not for me either. Everything is so heavy handed there. I am okay with their desserts - but I don't like their meals.
I don't hate Friday's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Outback, Ruby Tuesday's or that type of place.. I think they are all interchangeable in my mind. None are really better or worse than the other - I don't have high expectations when I go to a place like that at all. In fact the bar is SO low that I am just happy when I don't get sick! I don't get the brouhaha that used to be over Famous Dave's either. It's fine - but it's definitely not the best BBQ game in town.
I do not like Armadillo Grille in Sayville - but it's more about the ridiculous pricing that they have. Their food is NOT worth the cost at all. $10 for veggie quesadilla... are you KIDDING? For $10 it better be heaven in my mouth. And it wasn't. And the drinks.. it's like $12 for an adult beverage. I think food needs to be reasonably priced unless you can really justify the expense.. and they can't. I go across the street and get a $25 Prix Fixe from La Tavola and walk out full, happy and not totally broke!

Tequila Surise in Bayside is so overrated IMO. The drinks are great but the food is not good and they are so overpriced.

I'm not a fan of Ruby Tuesdays, their menu just doesn't do it for me.
I have had poor service at the Ground Round (LOL, what was I expecting?).
Not a fan of El Dorado, Denny's, Olive Garden.

I did not like Grillfire at all!!! I was expecting great things and was so disappointed. The menu/concept is great but the is food is bland. Never again.

OMG!!!! Every time I go to Cheesecake Factory I feel sick!!!!! And everyone I know LOVES it!!!! We got a gift card to there and all I will get is a slice of cheesecake - I cant eat the food

Cheesecake Factory the wait is ridiculious and the food is not that spectacular that you need to wait 2 hours. Ciao Baby I can not believe how many people rave about this place I though the food was horrible.

used to think Fridays was okay, but now I can't stomach it. And I am not wild about the LI diners. There is one I like in Long Beach, but otherwise, I think they are way overpriced and the food is kinda heavy and while not bad, its not that great either. And many pizza places on LI I don't care for. The pizza is too greesy and the mushrooms are rarely fresh. I also don't care much for heat lamp pizza. now if it is really thin crust or coal fired, thats a different story!

we went to cioa baby one time and ended up leaving. DH walked in with a hat on and was about to take it off. We were literally walking in and the first thing the hostess says to us is "excuse me, but no hats in this level of establishment." she didn't even give him a chance to take it off!! And we looked around and the place had a cheesy lounge singer singing and it looked like a chain restaurant. So we left and went to vincents. Dunno if the food is good or not!

i agree. I realize i pretty much hate most if not all chain restaurants, esp Fridays, Applebees, Ruby Tuesdays.... exceptions would be CPK and Houston's.
