We always take a Disney trip, then we take a "US State trip" (this year it is Colorado), then we take an out of the Continental US trip (this year Barcelona and Paris). And after that if we have any vacation time left we'll do a 3 or 4 day trip someplace close...

We always do a tropical vaca in late Feb and rent a beach house in DE/MD in August.

We don't really have a vacation pattern. DH was in the military for years, so we would spend all our free time traveling to each other. Then when we were finally in the same place, it was out of NY, so all my time was spent traveling back here to see my family.

I have done lots of smaller getaways with DH when he was in the military. I got to see a lot of places I know I would normally never have seen.

We did have a couple of fun trips last year because we had some big life events going on. We went to Aruba and Bermuda. I'm hoping for a big trip later this year that will actually be our delayed honeymoon.

It seems the older I get, the harder it is to travel between committments and cost. I actually travelled quite a bit when I was younger. The irony of course being that now I'm working and making $ although we did have all that time off as students. I miss traveling and would love to do more of it.
