What is your opinion?
DH and I are figuring out the plan for Jack while I am in the hospital delivering baby #2. DH thought it was odd that I said I didn't think Jack needed to come up to the hospital. When I had Jack he was born at 4:30 on Tuesday and I was home sitting on my couch at 6pm Wednesday evening. He is only 22 months old and the one time I had to bring him to a routine doc appointment with me he got so scared when they touched me. So I think it is unneccesary to bring him to the hopsital, unless of course I wind up having a c-section or god forbid some other complication.
My mom and dad will be with Jack and I told DH he can go home at night and be with Jack if I feel ok by myself in the hospital for the one or two nights I am there.

i could understand yoru reasoning. He really might not understand why your laying in a bed while everyone else is up and about. If he is home with his grandparents, i don't see the problem.

Re: What is your opinion?
I think it is such a personal decision. If it were me I would have him up at the hospital just bc they are siblings but if you feel that he needs to not be there then thats ok too. Really I think this is up to you both.

Re: What is your opinion?
I didn't have Sarah at the hospital when I had Andy. I didn't want her to be upset that I wasn't coming home with her. My mom stayed with her and she was fine. She got all excited when I walked in the door, at least until she saw Andy
My girlfriend did the same thing when she had her daughter, and she had a c-section. Her son was 3 and she knew he'd have a fit leaving her behind. They kept telling him that she was at work.

Re: What is your opinion?
I never went to the hospital with either of my siblings- I was 3 and 8 when they were born. I was much happier at home with Grandma and Grandpa. I don't see anything wrong with it- unless he got really upset and needed to see you were ok.
