What is your normal "hold" time when you call your obgyn office?
I have been frustrated with my current office because they often put me on hold for 10-30 minutes at a time (on top of cancelling a total of 4 appointments in a span of about 5 months).
I was trying to make an appointment at another practice and they also put me on hold for 15+ minutes and I hung up before making an appointment. I actually never even told the person who answered the phone why I was calling.
I'm just curious if this is just common to be put on hold forever.
Maybe I just have really bad luck?

u need to find another gyno! JMO
Every time you talk about your gyno it is a complaint.
My hold time is about 2 mins or less.
they are very attentive to pregnant ladies.

I was beginning to think I was just a hormonal raging b#!chy pregnant woman. I mean I know I'm a bit impatient to begin with but I think I'm still a reasonable person.

I haven't had it happen at my OB/GYN, they do have an automated system that directs to you the right person. Youe press 1 if it is a true emergency or you are in labor, 2 to schedule/cancel an appt, 3 to speak with a nurse etc...
Often if I am calling to speak with a nurse it goes right to voicemail and they call back within an hour or so.

I would only wait a couple of minutes. So far, I've never waited on hold a long time, but I've only called for apts, no doc related questions.

I don't wait on hold ever but I don't get to speak to a nurse right away. Their procedure is I leave a message with the receptionist and a nurse calls me back within the hour, unless it is an emergency.

I rarely have to wait at all but if I do it's a minute.
Sounds like it is time to look elsewhere for your care. Your doctor's office is obviously overwhelmed with the amount of patients that they are trying to service. You deserve better treatment than that!

same here.
you should really get on the ball about changing OBGYNs hun! the place you go to sounds awful between their bedside manners and their customer service skills. let us know if you want us to help you do a search for drs!
