What if I have a cold?
Will they still do the procedure?
My DH is an azzhorse. I told him time and again that this weekend I would have to relax and he would have to take on the bulk of the household duties.
But, he came down with a cold, and of course, the whole flipping world has to stop, so moi, the one who is injecting herself twice a day, has a vulnerable immune system because of all the drugs she's on, and is emotional as all hell, has instead been doing EVERYTHING the last three days, from cleaning, to taking my DD to play outside for hours in the park, to making runs to the deli to pick up soup.
Well, big big suprise - I woke up with a cough and the sniffles.
Will they cancel because of a cold? Should *I* cancel considerng it's probably not the optimal environment for the embies if I have a cold?

I was thinking the same thing this morning. My DH also has a bad cold and I am having my FET THIS thursday! I am currently taking cipro, but def have the sniffles. I don't think they will cancel unless you develop and infection.

They won't cancel for a cold...if you have flu like symptoms (fever, etc) they might...

I was just thinking this today...I was in church and a kid sat next to me coughing and sneezing everywhere...I wanted to get up and change my seat so bad but it was crowded and I felt like that would be rude..I have to take an airborne!
But I agree with Lisa I think the common cold is ok...just not flu etc.

I have a very good friend who had the beginning of the flu at transfer and was sick with the flu following it. She now has a 3 week old baby girl! Her RE told her sometimes its a more optimal enviroment for implantation b.c the body's defenses are down and its not prone to attacking the embie as a foreign body during this time. Pooh on dh though! Men are such babies!

I had an awful cold during both of my cycles. I truly believe it was a side effect of the medications or just a huge coincidence.
Anyway, I was not cancelled. However, if you develop a fever then you will probably be cancelled. I was told I could take Tylenol to keep down the fever but nothing else. HTH
