ETA: I know that sounded b!thcy- sorry. No one shoudl take this stuff so personally. Its an anonymous chat board. Most of us don't know each other. We are all adults. Sometimes people disagree with us- that's life. I imagine its far worse outside of here.

It was about warnings about a terrorist plot on the subway and how much information the government should give you. Very racy stuff!
ETA: I agree- it would be a bad idea to use discretion when pulling a thread, even when asked to pull it by the originator. It was very harmless. Nothing was personal- the most personal thing was that if you are afraid of terrorist activity, move somewhere where there is none. Which frankly- makes a whole lotta sense.

Who cares who pulled what - in the grand scheme of things, is it really that important?

Considering what happened on 9/11 I am glad they are telling us- Its not to make us scared, it to make us aware of whats going on right around us under our noses!
I know for myself when Im in the city, its hustle and bustle and sometimes I couldnt even tell you what the person right next to me looked like!
So for the mayor to tell us what they know NOW- considering they knew for 2 days befores saying anything is a great thing! Even before 9/11- in when was it 93 the world trade bombing? It should have started THEN to AWARE us, not now!
Like Bloomberg said- "Its a very scary world we live in today"

That could be the case but we have a policy that if the origianl poster of a thread wants it removed then we do so - no questions asked. Hey, nothing in the world is 100% is it? But this is the best policy!

Girly - TOTALLY AGREE!! I dont even notice half the time who is standing next to me on the subway!
Im in NYC every day - its ***** but such is life. The $ here is better - so I stay. I pray every day that I dont get killed or hurt. Its sad....

Right just be aware of what is going and do use YOUR judgement. Take it or leave it...
ETA: It's like a Buffet Table the food is there it's your choice to fill your plate or walk away 1/2 empty. That's how I choose to see it.
